Hours passed and I did find something entertaining to do, I was lucky to find a book, it wasn't very interesting, but I read it anyway. Only a couple more minutes and we would find ourselves somewhere in the Asian rain forest, where they would leave me, I only knew a couple things about the rain forest. One, it was rainy, like home. Two, it should be warm. Three, there were animals that could hurt me. I didn't know much animals but I knew some. Snakes, Monkeys and probably big wild cats were out there. Which is true.
Jake looked out the window and I did too. Something caught my eye, islands and the Philippines. I suddenly got a terrible feeling in my stomach. My stomach churned and twisted into a knot. Jake laughed.
"You ready?" Jake said, looking out the window.
"Maybe," I murmured.
"Don't worry, you'll do fine, even the computer said so."
"The computer????" I asked confusingly, what does he mean?
"Never mind forget I said anything about the computer."
"Ok?" I said stretching out the word.
"You guys can bring it down here!" Jake shouted to the front of the plane, where the pilots were controlling the plane. One of them nodded and started down slowly. A couple minutes later they landed on one of the islands. We kind of just landed there without permission, and there was no runway. They turned off the engine of the plane. One of the pilots came out and said, "Well were here, sir," and led the way out of the plane. Jake let me walk behind him first, and then Jake followed behind me. OH GOD! I don't think I'm feeling so good now, my stomach twisted and churned, but I didn't say anything. We were out in the open, a perfect clearing. We all looked around and examined everything around us.
"Well, I guess this is where were leaving you," Jake said. I heard, but decided not to answer. "You have your ear piece thingy right?" Jake asked. I pulled my hair back behind my ear and pointed to it and nodded.
"Well, alright then! Your all set now!" Jake exclaimed.
"I... I don't want to do this, why do I have to? Why? Jake, Why?" I whispered, Jake heard me. Tears started welding up in my eyes.
"We have to, don't worry though, you'll come out alive. I know for sure," Jake said. Avoiding my eyes and looking off into the distance.
"But I..."
"Don't worry, kid," Jake said bending down and ruffling my hair.
"I'll miss you..." I mumbled and then gave Jake a hug. Jake smiled, and stood up and turned around, walking back to the air craft with the pilots. I stood there frozen. I watched both of them, leave and get back on the plane. The plane started up again, and went up and up. Then it was out of site. I was left in the forest all by myself. I felt weak and fell to my knees and hands. I stared at the floor, crying and mumbled, "You can do this! Just get up and face it! UGH! What am I supposed to do?"
I got up from the floor and wiped my hands on my jeans, it was warm I decided to take off my sweater, and wrapped it around my waist, just in case if I needed it later. I couldn't just stay there out in the open, a snake or a king cobra could be out there, which is not a very good place to be. So I walked over to part of the forest, I was hoping it wasn't too dense. I stepped on leaves and branches. They all made a crack sound every time I stepped on a branch. I looked up on a branch and found a really pretty bird; it had a yellow beak and a red head, with white on its belly and green feathers on its back. A Jambu Fruit Dove. It kind of stared at me, then when I started walking again the little bird seem to follow me. I think I just made a new friend, I thought, "I'm going to name you... Sweet Tweet, it's a mouth full, but it will work, for you!" The bird came closer and landed on my shoulder. I petted the little thing. Well I guess I have a thing with animals at least. I looked up huge tall trees towering over me; there were so tall, probably taller than a hundred feet tall! And it was probably true.
