Jade's POV

I groaned as I wrapped my arms around my stomach.

I tossed and turned in my bed.

It has been a week.

And all the candy and chips that Katie brought,

Was gone in two days.

We ate half one day and the other half the next day.

I have had a stomach ache for a week!

Katie texted me and she said she threw up the other day.

Maybe it's time to start dieting.

Yeah, that's not happening.

Yeah, I am definitely going to die before the age of 30.

I rolled out of bed and stumbled all the way to the bathroom.

I collapsed on my knees in front of the toilet.

"Just let me spill my guts." I mumbled to myself.

My stomach turned and began to rise.

A bitter taste filled my mouth.

I gaged as it escaped my mouth.

My stomach was now empty and not as in much pain as before.

I flushed the toilet and exited the bathroom.

Was it worth it?

Short answer, no.

I collapsed face down on my couch.

My phone began to vibrate.

I picked it up and looked at the screen.

Blocked number.

Well, there's nothing that would make me feel worse.

I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Jade." A familiar voice greeted me.

"Jax?"

"How did you get my number? And my address?"

"I have a friend."

"Is he standing outside my window?"

"No. He's good with computers."

"Ok then, remind me to cover my camera's. Why did you call me?"

"Did you get your laptop?"

"Yeah. By the way, I'm mad at you for that. I told you not to replace it."

"You saved my life. I owe you a favor."

"I do not want any favor from you."

"That computer wasn't the favor, it was a gift. I still owe you something."

"No, you don't."

"You are the only person who has refused something from me."

"What's your point?"

"Never mind that for now. I called you for a different reason."

"Well spill it."

"I want to tell you in person."

"Why?"

"I just do. Come to my office, I'll text you the address."

He hung up.

That was rude.

Why now?

Why today?

Why when my stomach still hurts?
