----------------------------------------------

Formal party later.

Sigh.

What am I supposed to do?!

Colt's serious about bringing me along! I don't know what to do! I don't know what to say or how to behave. It's like everything I've learnt about manners up until this point's vanished in thin air.

A hot bath will help me loosen up a bit.

The second I stepped into the warm water, I felt my burdens being ripped off my shoulders.

I let out a sigh of relief and slowly sat down in the bathtub. My height was perfect in this case, I could stretch my legs out! When I think about it, this bathtub's huge.

I'd already washed my hair. Now it smelled like strawberries too! Of course I didn't want it to get wet again, so I put it up in a messy bun.

It's weird, how easy I avoided getting questioned why I was really crying after saying it was nothing.

Nick's right, people usually don't cry without a reason.

Good thing they believed me! At least it looked like it.

Colt said yesterday when Nick'd left that the party's today and at 8pm, but we'll start driving at 7pm. Apparently Colt lives about an hour away from Lisanna's house.

Oh, I wonder why?

The weird thing's that Colt can move in bright daylight without turning into ashes.

Okey, I've read too many books about vampires.

There is one little minus about it though, his body weakens and he needs more blood to strengthen it.

That's why he couldn't control himself the other day, because the sun was draining his body for strength.

So if he walks outside in sunlight, he needs blood the second he gets out of the sun.

He told me after telling me multiple times how sorry he was.

Anyways I got other things to worry about today. Like the party and how I'm supposed to get ready.

"Love, are you in there?" Colt lightly knocked on my bathroom door.

I'm used to him calling me 'love', but it still makes even the tiniest blush appear on my cheeks.

"Y-yeah," I stuttered. "What is it?"

"I was just checking up on you," he said. "You've been in there for half an hour."

Half an hour? Really? And I didn't notice?

"I thought you might'd drowned," he lightly chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you."

If I've been in here for half an hour I might as well see myself as clean. And I don't wanna look like a raisin either.

I unplugged the bathtub and watched the water slowly go down the drain.

Something ran through my head.

I usually leave my towel and clothes on my bed, then I shower and after that I just walk into my room to get dressed.

Damn it.

"Colt?" I mumbled low and carefully. "Are you still there?"

He made a deep 'mhm' kinda sound.
