"she called me a goody two shoes." i say, sighing with my face in my hands.
namjoon lifts an eyebrow. "then man up. show her you're not just a schoolboy. show her you're interested."
"flowers?" jimin asks.
"that's a start i guess."

mi-an (jaynie's friend)
"t-these are for you." i hear jimin say from behind me. i was standing at jaynie's locker, looking for her umbrella because i forgot mine.
i turn around to face the blushing boy, who is looking down at his feet in embarrassment. "um, are you sure?" i question. his head snaps up at the sound of my voice. he quickly retracts the bouquet and gives me an embarrassed grin.
"s-sorry. these are for jaynie."
i smile at the cuteness. "are you gonna ask her out soon?"
"no, i-i just wanted to give her these..."
"oh, ok here, put them in her locker." i say, taking out the umbrella.
"excuse me." jimin says, gently moving things aside as to make room for the flowers. we finally manage to fit it in and close the door when the bell rings.
"hey mi-an! hey jimin!"

"hey mi-an! hey jimin!" i say, smiling and waving at the two who were standing awkwardly at my locker.
wait...
"...jimin? mi-an? what are you doing at my locker? and without me," i narrow my eyes. "are you two...hiding something?"
mi-an shrugs, while jimin blushes.
"n-no." jimin denies.
"okay, you're definitely hiding something," i observe them closer. "are you two... confessing?"
it's mi-an's turn to deny.
i just smile and turn back around. "whatever, i'll leave you two lovebirds to it."
i smiled, but why do i feel so disappointed?

"she didn't look in her locker, she didn't look in her locker, oh gosh, abort! abort, abort!" mi-an says, freaking out. she tugs on the roots of her hair. "my ship! i feel it. . . sinking. . ." she says, sliding down the lockers.
"mi-an." i call.
"yeah." she replies emotionlessly.
"it's okay."
"no. it's not. i've been shipping you for what, three years now?"
"four."
"jimin, how long are you going to put this off? you've liked her since sixth grade, and she only learned your name this year!" she stands up.
"i'm sorry. i don't know how to tell her."
"damn right you don't."
