After a few more songs, the beat
changed all of the sudden and the song "Dancing on my own" on the version of Callum Scott started playing, making mark slow down his moves and putting his hands gently on her hips, making Gwen put her ars around his neck.
From across the room, Blake was slowly sipping on his drink, trying not to look ate Gwen too much, when the song started playing, so he played attention to it, noticing that the singer was saying everything that he was feeling at the moment.

Somebody said you got a new friend
Does he love you better than I can?
There's a big black sky over my town
I know where you're at, I bet he's around

And yeah, I know it's stupid
But I just gotta see it for myself

I'm in the corner, watching you kiss him, oh oh oh
I'm right over here, why can't you see me, oh oh oh
And I'm giving it my all, but I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooh
I keep dancing on my own

I'm just wanna dance all night
And I'm all messed up, I'm so out of line, yeah
Stilettos and broken bottles
I'm spinning around in circles
And I'm in the corner, watching you kiss him, oh
I'm right over here, why can't you see me, oh
And I'm giving it my all, but I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooh
I keep dancing on my own
And oh no

So far away but still so near
The lights come up, the music dies
But you don't see me standing here
I just came to say goodbye
I'm in the corner, watching you kiss him, oh
And I'm giving it my all, but I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooh
I keep dancing on my own
And oh no
Sit down in the corner, watching you kiss him, oh no
And I'm right over here, why can't you see me, oh no
And I'm giving it my all, but I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooh
I keep dancing on my own

So far away, but still so near
The lights come up, the music dies
But you don't see me standing here

While listening to it, blake couldn't help but being sad, the woman the he loves is with another guy. That kills him day by day, and at the end is going to be a slow death, so ate this point he decides to back off a little, to not spend as much time with the blond and just talk to her when it was extremely necessary. Of course that was going to kill him, but Blake knows that's the right thing to do, afterwards, Gwen has already moved on, so why can't he? After thinking this, he puts some money on the bar in front of him and takes a looks one more time at Gwen's direction, then standing up and going to the exit door. Gwen, who is on the dancing floor listening carefully to the song and associating it with Blake, saw when he went to the exit, so she said to mark that she needed to go to the lady's room and ran after Blake, who was already outside the nightclub. He was almost at his car when Gwen held his arm making him stop right on his tracks, and he stayed there staring t her, waiting for what she was about to say
  - Don't leave yet - she said still holding his hands.
  - But I have to Gwen, I can't stand this anymore - the man said removing his arm from her hold, giving a step back.
  - Can't stand what? - she tohght she knew what he was talking about, but she needed to hear it from his mouth.
  - I can't stand seeing you with another guy Gwen, I just can't! - he said finally what he was really feeling, not caring if it was the right moment or not, he just needed to get it out of his chest. - I want more than anything to be with you, so seeing him with Mark just kills me Gwen! - he says, raising a bit his tone, but not in an angry way, more as in a -poring my heart out- way.
Gwen couldn't believe what she was hearing, cause it was so good to be true that she started doubting her ears. After awhile processing and not saying anything, Blake just sighted and turned his back to her, starting to walk away, but Gwen catched his arm once again, saying:
  - Blake, just stop running away from me. Can't you see that I feel the same way? - she said with the biggest smile on her face.
  - Y-You do? - Blake asked, not believing that this words actually came out of her mouth.
  - Yes Blake, I do. I really really like you - she said coming a little closer to him. After hearing that, Blake just stepped even closer and took her in his arms and spinned her around, laughing so much, making Gwen giggle and say: - oh my gosh Blake - in-between giggles. After awhile of spining, he put her down and said:
  - This time let me do it right Gwen, let me take you on a proper date - he said cupping her check and giving a soft smile.
  - Of course Blake, I would love to go out with you! But first.. I need to break up with Mark! - she said laughing, making Blake immediately give a belly laugh.
  - Yeah you really need to do that. Poor guy - he said still smiling.
  - Ok so, can we go out tomorrow night? - she said, still not believing that this was really happening.
  - Yeah of course, can I pick you up at 8 PM?
  - Sure! See you then cowboy - she said stepping closer and giving him a kiss on the cheek - I'm looking forward to it! - she said with a wink and went back to the bar, probably to break up with Mark.
Blake was floating on the ride home, to believing what happened, and wishing so much that it wasn't just a dream, a hell of a good dream.
