IX - Realizations

JooE's POV

Nancy has been so sad lately

And today is the worst

She left our rehearsals early today looking so down

I don't want her to keep being like that, so I decided to leave the rehearsals as well, and check on my friend

"I love her!" Nancy said out loud as I entered the room while she's crying on her bed

"Nancy?" I know who she is referring to

"J-JooE.." she was caught off guard

I climbed on her bed and hugged her

She hugged back, resting her head on my neck

"I think I know why you're crying. Is it because of Yeonwoo unnie?"

I know she likes her

With the way she freezes when Yeonwoo gets close to her. How worried she was for her. And how sad she gets everytime she hears about Yeonwoo and Taeha

She cried even more "I'm so stupid, JooE"

"Shhh.. don't say that.. She's the stupid one for diverting her attention to someone else" I said comforting her

"No! But when I had her attention, I kept pushing her away"

"But she shouldn't have given up on you that easy"

She just stayed hugged to me while sobbing

There was a long silence until I decided to break the ice

"What do you say we get your Yeonwoo back?" I suggested

She chuckled, pulled away and said "She's not even mine"

"I'm just giving you an idea"

She laughed. I think she liked that thought

"Thanks for being there, JooE" she said with sincerity

"Don't thank me. You're gonna clean the room everyday for one week"

"Ugh! I knew it.. But really.. thanks for being around"

"Anytime, Nancy"

Yeonwoo's POV

It's been 4 months since I've found Taeha. And a month since I've asked her to be my girlfriend

But I don't feel completely happy

Why?..

I really should be glad

But I feel like there's something missing

"Are you ok?" said Taeha as she handed me the iced coffee she ordered at the cafeteria

"Y-yes I'm ok. Thank you"

"You seem to be thinking a lot lately"

I can see the worry on her face

I know I'm not ok. But I should not make her feel bad

Hyebin suddenly appeared out of nowhere

"Yah, Yeonwoo!"

"What the heck!" I was so startled , as well as Taeha

"You're such a scaredy cat" Hyebin teased

"How long have you been sitting there behind me?!"

"I was already here when you two arrived. You didn't even notice me waving at you. Only Taeha waved back"
