Credence was walking into his home and as he gets near the stairs I noticed his mother sitting there , I can't hear what they are saying but what I saw what happened next terrified me, he handed his mother his own belt that he just took off. They both walked up the stairs leaving a little girl at the bottom of the stair case. The world around me started to shake.
I blinked rapidly trying to clear the recent vision. They were really starting to worry me now. " are you alright" I heard a soft voice beside me , turning my head I noticed it was newt and that the three of us have stopped our walk. "Ya just peachy" I gave a fake smile so they would just leave it, but it looked like newt didn't buy it for a minute. We carried on walking down the streets of New York. It was dark out so there were very few people walking the streets that had all the closed shops.
"I was watching you at dinner" newt told Mr Kowalski while still holding his case. "Yeah" "People like you , don't they , Mr Kowalski" newt carried on speaking. "Well, I'm sure people like you too, huh?" Mr Kowalski told him. "No, not really. I annoy people" newt responded , I let out a laugh. "Please, You only annoy the boring people Newt"
Newts cheeks went red at my comment as he whispered a quiet thank you. "Why did you decide to be a baker?" Newt asked "Well, because I'm dying, in that canning factory ,Everyone there's dying. It just crushes the life outta you. You like canned food?" "No" newt and I said simultaneously
"Yeah. Me neither, that's why I want to make pastries, you know. It makes people happy. We are going this way" , I smiled at his passion not just for baking but wanting his passion to make a person smile. We walked across the empty road and then took a right down another street. "So did you get your loan?" I asked the man , remembering that he was getting a loan at the bank.
"No, ain't got no collateral. Stayed in the army too long, apparently , I don't know" he said sadly "You fought in the war?" Newt asked , very interested by this man "Of course I fought in the war? Everyone fought in the war. You didn't fight in the war?" Mr Kowalski said almost questioning the tall wizard beside him , in case it was a joke.
"I worked mostly with dragons, Ukrainian Ironbellies, eastern front" newt explained.
Damn he is very brave
I noticed newt stopped and was looking at one of the automobiles, I followed his gaze and I noticed that the ornament was missing. I looked down to the road and I noticed random pieces of diamond jewelry laying on the road. I nudged newt with my elbow and pointed towards the scattered jewelry. "I think your niffler is having a good shopping spree" " and its leading that way" newt said , he bent his knees and hunched his back and was walking slowly and carefully ahead of us , following the diamonds near a few shops. Mr Kowalski looked around to see if he could spot the little creature.
We walked past a few stores , but then newt stopped and took a large step back , nearly bumping into me as he faced the window of one of the jewelry stores. In the window there was a few displays of diamond necklaces and rings and such, but right in the middle was a niffler standing still with a two diamond necklaces hanging off its arm, for it was trying to imitate a display statue trying to fool us.
But newt was smart and picked up on this. The jewelry fell off the nifflers arm and this causes the Niffler to look at us through the window wiggling it's nose when it sniffs. Newt raised his eyebrows giving off a 'really' look.
