driving towards the shopping mall was a full on blast-fast mode due to being late to meet with my close friend.
i ran as fast as i could and arrived in the cafè sweating.
" your late 15 minutes you know that right " rae took out the tissue box on the table
" sorry, traffic just took over the road " i wiped down my continous flowing of sweat
" and because of that " i pointed out the window that shows the rain continously pouring down
a waiter walk down to our table while holding the menu to take our orders .
eventually, we continue to talk about random stuffs, mainly school rumors because this friend of mine loves to talk about it
a little while later we had finished our meal and went shopping . we shop at various shops when suddenly i had receive a call from someone
" hey honey , sorry to bother you but i want to tell you that later we will go to my friends party and you are coming with us " mom said from the other side of the call
" yes mom, you already told me this earlier "
" come home now please, you need to get ready before we're late "
" fine , i'll be home after this " and by that mom close the call
" whats wrong ? " said rae
" my mom wants me to go to this 'special' event " i blurted out, sighing in defeated
" poor you " i just nodded and said goodbye to her and went straight to ny car at the parking lot .
a few minutes later, i had arrive home and went upstairs to get ready for this 'event'
" looks like mom has prepared my dress " i looked at the dress that was hanged on the rack
it was this elegant, purple dress if i'm not mistaken, my dad bought me this for my birthday last year
a simple yet glam eye look , not too dramatic and not too simple . i finish up my makeup with a pink lip tint .
i did my hair on a simple braid pull up into a bun with a small white ribbon to tie the finishing look
i took out my black pouch and head downstairs . my parents were waiting for me since i can see their figures in the car from the window
i went inside the car and instantly dad drove away. i was quiet the whole time since my parents keep on talking about random grown up things .
finally , the car ride had finished and went out to the hall full of lights everywhere .
inside the room was full with people i don't know specifically, because all of them are my parents's friends.
we went inside to sit down with a parent and a boy probably my age . i couldn't see his face since he was looking down .
or i would say, he didn't even budge to look up and greet
well...... i feel you
" oh my, hello mina , your daughter is very beautiful " a women said .
" yes, indeed, introduce yourself honey " my mom said
" hello mrs park" i smile while i get a hug from her
" my name is kim minhwa " i continue my unfinish words
" no need to be formal dear , just call me auntie instead for now "
" sure "
" i think you should sit next to my son oh and jihoon , please introduce yourself " auntie call the boy next to her
" hey, my name is park jihoon , nice to meet you " he bow while looking at me from top to bottom, i was a little bit flustered
So his name is Park Jihoon , that name is very familiar to me but where ? do i know him ? have I meet him before , i don't think so .
i sit next to him feeling uncomfortable as both of our parents are look at us
" they look great together aren't they mina ? " mrs park said or should i say auntie
" yeah , they sure do look great "
" what do you mean we look great together ? " me and this jihoon dude say at the same time and exchange glance
" okay, no more hiding. you two are going to get married soon " said mom
" wait whatt ?? , mom i'm still 17 . Its too young for me to get married now "
" sorry dear , we already agree to this . Are okay with this dear ? "
" i-i have to go " you said and immediately bow to all of them from the table to excuss yourself to go to the toilet .
i couldn't believe that i am going to get married to some boy i didn't even know about . i went somewhere to clear and calm my mind .
