3: the talk before game night

Lenas office

Lenas POV:

Kara just left so I guess I can give Alex a call, I can't help but wonder what she wants and if she's okay with me being close to Kara I guess we'll just have to find out.

After 2 rings Alex picked up the phone

---------------call translation-------------

Alex: This is Agent Danvers

Lena: Hey Alex its Lena

A: Lena sorry I thought you were someone from my DE....... FBI squad

L: Oh? it's okay, so umm what did you need to talk to me about away from Kara?

A: Oh right so Maggie and I are throwing a surprise bday party for Kara tomorrow and were wondering if you could slash wanted to help since you guys are getting so close.

L: You said tomorrow right?

A: Yup if that doesn't work and you want to we can push it.

L: Oh no it's perfect actually I've got the whole day off tomorrow.

A: Lena you are literally the owner of L-Corp you can have any day off that you want.

L: Alex you know what I mean.

A: Yeah yeah okay so meet at my place around 11 sounds good?

L: yup.

A: Alright I'll send you my address.

L: Alright bye.

A: Bye Lena.

To Lena: Hey Lena its Alex, my address is 583 buler rd apartment #17 on the 2nd floor.

To Alex: Okay, I will see you at 11.

To Lena: See you then!🙂

Well, it's 5 so I guess I should head home and get ready.

Lenas apartment

Third-person pov:

As Lena got home and opened her door a cold breeze hit her. Shes never really home she's always at work so her apartment is kind of empty and never has a heater on so its cold. She went into her bedroom and plopped down on her bed "why did I agree to this, meeting her other friends is gonna be awkward" Lena couldn't help but think.

She got up from her bed and went over to her closet to pick something out to wear, she didn't want to get too dressed up but she definitely didn't want to be underdressed. After 15 minutes of looking and contemplating she finally decided on a fitted violet button-up blouse with a knee-length tight black skirt and 3-inch black heels.

By the time she was done getting ready she had her outfit on and she decided to put on some light makeup that consisted of a light grey smoky eye, mascara, and a dark red lipstick that she always wore seeings how it was her color.

She looked at the time and it was 5:45 so she decided she better leave but not before grabbing one of her best bottles of wine to bring over. When she got to Karas's apartment building she stood outside. She had spent the last couple hours trying to figure out what she should say she wasn't sure if she should be taking her to a gay bar anymore so she worried now.

Lena started up the stairs there was no elevator in the building and she had forgotten or else she would have worn flats instead of heals since Kara is on the top floor. When she got to Karas's door she went to knock but before she could Kara opened it quickly.

"Lena! hey, how was the rest of your day?" kara askes while pulling Lena into a hug.

"Good, what about yours," Lena said as she tensed up when kara hugged her but she slowly relaxed into it.

"Oh good I finished my newest article on supergirl"

"Supergirl huh are you guys close?"

"Well we've been I guess you can say friends for a while, so umm come in," Kara said stepping out of the doorway "so what's the rest of your plan?"

"Well you don't even know if you like girls so I was thinking maybe kissing a girl could help"

"Okay...... And who would this girl be?"

"Well it could be anyone we could go to a gay bar and you could kiss some random girl or you could kiss someone that you know and that's gay like me" OH MY GOD what just came out of my mouth!

"Like you?" Kara said with a disbelieved tone

"Wellllll i-it was an example yo...you know me and I'm gay sooo yeah an example" Lena studdered out

"Oh yeah okay, that makes sense not uhh not what I was thinking. Is uh is that wine?" Kara asked noticing the bottle in Lenas hand

"Oh right yeah I uhh brought that for you or umm whoever wants some"

"Okay well here i'll put it with the rest of the alcohol"

Both the girls were trying to avoid what just happened both thinking that their responses were stupid

Lena's thoughts: Damn it Lena why can't you just tell her how you feel...ugh... Shit, wait did I tell her I was gay? Did she know already??? Why am I freaking out!!

Karas thoughts: What the fudge was that? Man, I wish I could kiss her. And a gay bar a fudging gay bar I am not kissing some stranger not when I want to kiss her......waaaiiit did she just say that she's gay??

"I didn't know you were gay Lena how come you never told me?"

And that was the one question Lena hoped she wouldn't be asked.

"Oh well I guess it ahh just never came up but um yea I'm gay"

************knock knock************

A nock on the door interrupted their conversation

"Oh look it's already 7," Kara said walking over to open the door. "Are ya ready to meet my other friends?"

"There's no better time than now"

A/N hello my Superbabys (is it weird calling you my superbabys? Let me know) So this is just a quick filler chapter but I promise the next ones going to be a long one and it will come out sooner then this one did. I finally have a plan on how kara and Lena are going to get together but it's going to take a couple of chapters and it's going to kinda be drawn out at first and the whole kara being supergirl might put a slight twist I'm not sure about that part yet so we'll see I'm going to stop "talking" before this gets too long.
