As a general rule, I don't translate my stories

As a general rule, I don't translate my stories. I write them straight in English, like Blackbird, or in Spanish, which is my first language, like Los Caídos --Wattys 2018 Winner! Yay!

But this one is special.

That's why I'm taking my chances with translation.
Because this is my most beloved child, and I wanna share it as much as I can.

I'm gonna do my best to reflect all the nautical jargon I use on the original in Spanish, in order to give you a better setting. Especially because I already know I cannot offer "period English". I can do it in Spanish, but not in English.
So be warned: this is a period story told in modern English--hoping some native English-speaker will eventually have mercy on me and help me out.

So PLEASE, feel free to point out any error you may find. Your help will be most welcome! And also, please keep in mind that this is a very rough first-draft translation.

WARNING
**This ain't no blockbuster to sell a Disney ride. So expect some serious historical setting.
Jack Sparrow fans: ye be warned, savvy?**

SNEAK PEEK

Want an idea about how the story goes? Think of movies like Master & Commander and In The Heart Of The Sea. Or my most beloved novel, Emilio Salgari's The Black Corsair.

But with a girl wreaking havock around and breaking all the rules! ;D

I'm putting up several appendixes to help you guys keep up with all the geographical, historical and nautical terms as much as I can.

I did my best to make it historically accurate. And as for geography and sailing, I wrote all sailing parts according to the wind Windy.com showed at that given moment for the given area I was writing about. Because I'm that much of a nerd.

Kudos to these websites I use to work on the story
