y/n leaned down infront of tyler joseph and josh dun, holding her heavy and expensive camera while they posed with vinyls and cds for trench. this wasn't a very important photoshoot, it was merely two photos that would go up on their instagram and twitter to promote their new album, but it gave josh a reason to be around y/n, the official twenty one pilots photographer.

"show me your smile, boys!"

tyler was usually one to protest playfully when he got that request, but josh was already smiling his adorable smile at y/n- no, at the camera. josh giggled lightly and that made tyler laugh and smile. y/n took this oppertunity to snap a few pictures. now she'd just have to upload them to her computer and transfer it to a memory stick so the boys could use them however they wanted to.

"perfect, i'll get these to you by five o'clock tonight so you to can head home, sound good?" she asked rhetorically. tyler shook his head. "how about we stay and watch. i wanna see how the process of uploading works?"

y/n shruggedn smiling as she pulled the sd card from her large canon camera and cautiously set it on the desk, then opening her computer and carefully sliding the card in. "to what you want, i guess." tyler and josh stood behind her, josh admiring everything she did and how she did it so precisely, without missing a beat. the boys both backed up when she threw her hands up in frustration.

"i left the memory stick in my car, i'll be right back, do not touch anything." y/n warned while closing her laptop and sitting down next to her camera. the boys nodded and y/n ran to her car, digging through cds that she piled up in the passenger seat until she pulled out a single silver memory stick.

when she returned, she gasped in horror. "my camera!"

josh had knocked it off the table and the lense was cracked badly. he stared at her apologetically. "i-i'm sorry- i'll buy you a new one- i didn't mean to-"

y/n forced a smile, holding a hand up dismissively, which shut him up. she made her way to her computer and gently inserted the memory stick. it didn't take long for her to upload them to the stick. once she did, she gave it to tyler. "all the pictures are on there, go crazy with it."

tyler was ready to leave and head home, josh was definitely ready to leave after breaking her camera. before the duo left, y/n broke the silence. "josh. stay here, you and i have something we need to talk about."

tyler left. it was best not to mess with y/n when she was already frustrated, they both knew that. nonetheless, josh moved away from the door and turned to face y/n. "joshua dun, please tell me why my expensive camera is broken."

"it was an accident, i walked past it, and it was too close to the edge- and- and it got caught on my shirt and it fell." his explanation certainly didn't calm her down. "i can make it up to you, i swear." josh insisted.

"and just how are you gonna do that?" she almost didn't have time to react when he pressed his lips against hers. he pulled away shortly after, smiling nervously. "i'll buy you a new camera and i'll take you on a date, sound good?"

y/n nodded. "alright. sounds good. go on, get home and celebrate your album now. call me when you're ready for that date."
