"Hey Clare.." Joshua walked up to me and placed a soft kiss on my lips.

He tried to pull away but I held into place causing us both to smile into the kiss.

I eventually let go to see his face all red,

"Why is it never just a simple kiss with you." He chuckled.

" 'Cause you always walkin' around lookin all good and shit." I joked.

"I miss you." He said randomly.

"Hmm?" I said confusedly and creased my eyebrows.

"I'll never love you..." he spoke again.

This time I jumped up and without thinking I punched him.

This time I didn't fall through, I felt my fist collide with his face. He fell backward as blood poured outside of his mouth.

I stared down at him in shock, "I-I'm s-sorry." I tried speak.

He looked up at me with complete fear,
"Don't-" I stepped forward only for him to guard himself like I'd hit him again.

I stopped in my tracks seeing him look at me like he was afraid for his life.

"D-Don't be scared of me, I-I'm sorry," I begged.

Once again his monotone voice spoke—breaking me....
