Groggily I opened my eyes and peered around my surroundings trying to decipher where I am until I remember that I was at Michael’s house. A dead weight was wrapped around my waist and when I looked over, I saw Michael fast asleep, laying awkwardly on the small couch with his arm flung over my waist. His other arm was on the ground looking like it was there to support him and to stop him from face planting off the couch.

I would have laughed at his position, but mine wasn’t much better. I was sand witched between Michael’s hard body and the softness of the cushions on the back of the couch. My face awkwardly pressed into the couch cushion and if I’m being perfectly honest, I’m finding it quite difficult to breathe.

‘Michael,’ I tried to speak but it came out muffled. When he didn’t stir, I tried it again. ‘Michael!’ I shouted. All the breath got pushed out of my lungs as he pressed into me, sitting on the couch groggy eyed and scanning the room for something whilst looking alert.

‘Get off,’ I managed to wheeze out which snapped his attention back to me. He looked at me with puzzled eyes that were sleepy. Instantly he mumbled an apology and shuffled his weight slightly, giving me enough room to sit up and practically gasp for air; and the sad thing is that I’m not even kidding.

Michael looked as if he couldn’t keep his eyes open and I couldn’t blame him. We had been up late last night watching movies, talking, laughing and even playing chasey with his wolf. His wolf is incredible. At the beginning I was scared of it, I mean it’s not every day you see someone change into a wolf; let alone one that’s the same size as you.

But as soon as we were running around and just plainly having a fantastic time I couldn’t get enough of him. His soft fur, the same deep brown eyes that looked even more captivating while on the stunning wolf was just plain amazing.

Seeing the side of Michael that is carefree and playful was an eye opener for me. When Maddie told me that once you accept the mating bond your feelings will develop quicker she wasn’t lying. Last night while I was with his wolf I truly accepted it, and my feelings for Michael was growing so rapidly I wasn’t sure it is healthy.

Anyways, it was about 3:30 that morning when we finally drifted off to sleep on the small couch and now it is 7:15 according to the clock on the wall. Yawning loudly, I rubbed my eyes resting my head on Michael’s shoulder and closed my eyes that seemed to ache due to the lack of sleep.

Michael was wearing a singlet top, so the heat from his bare arm was warm and sent those tiny little tinges throughout my body from where we were touching.

‘This is a perfect way to wake up,’ Michael said. I opened my eyes and looked up at him who was already grinning a sexy yet sleepy smile and he wrapped an arm around me.

‘I’d say the same, but you were making me suffocate,’ I teased and pushed him slightly yet he didn’t even budge. His grin turned into a small smile that was full of amusement.

‘At least I didn’t make you sleep half on and half off the couch.’ Instantly my face hated up a bit and I looked down.

‘Just because I’m not a graceful sleeper,’ I muttered under my breath which caused Michael to chuckle. ‘It’s true,’ I laughed with him. ‘I fell asleep with Blake and Tanner on the couch and I kicked them all. I can get quite violent.’ I stated almost proudly. Even when sleeping I can still look out for myself.

‘And you kicked Tanner?’ he asked which I nodded to with a smile. ‘Good. If you didn’t I would have a problem with that, but since you hurt him I’ll let you get away with it,’ he said moving his head in closer to mine. His eyes were locked on mine and he didn’t even hesitate as he leaned down and softly kissed me.
