I see what Quinn meant when he said North had no friends. None at all which is why she was excited to see me. And now I understood why. No one sat next to her except me and of course her family.

But it was only Quinn and Thaddeus there. And I was staring at the food in front of me quietly. It was a stew made of elk and had weird looking veggies floating in it. I pushed around the veggies and dug out the meat while North talked my ear off.

Quinn looked amused at how much his sister had taken to me, while I on the other hand not so much. For a bear she was pretty docile and nice. But very eager to have a friend as well as not knowing her own strength. She practically stuffed me down the hallway.

But I didn't do anything. I just let her do it not in the mood to fight with anyone. . . translation not in the mood to deal with a cranky Quinn. He seemed to be quite affectionate towards North than he was towards Thaddeus even after forgiving him.

So I was nice to North. . . more so than most people. Typically I was grouchy and would bite your head off if you shoved me. All I did was nod at North. Now I was staring at the soup pushing all the veggies around. Thaddeus watched me with distaste.

I eventually got all the meat out before deciding I had enough. Thaddeus narrowed his eyes at me. "So Silver, enjoying spending time with my sister?" Quinn asked and I glanced up. North had left to go get herself some fresh baked cookies. . . whatever those were.

"She's fine." I said disinterested. Quinn was trying to see if I was being kind to his sister and I was. Well trying to at least and reel in my inner alpha wolf. I hope Lupa was doing good and not challenging every polar bear that she came across.

That would be disastrous for sure. Although I'm sure I would of felt it long by now. Thaddeus left after finishing his soup. Something about getting back into his life before North came back as I pushed the soup around not wanting any of the floating veggies. It didn't take long for Quinn to take it.

And he had no problem eating it or going for seconds. It's like his appetite had sky rocketed since we got here. "Silver are you ready for the tour?" North asked and Quinn watched in a amusement. I nodded. Quinn decided to tag along as North began leading us through.

The heels of her boots clicked against the wooden floors before she stopped at doors and opened them. It was a huge room lined in books with a fireplace in the middle. The inside did not remind me of an ice castle and made it hard to believe the outside was made of ice.

But maybe that was the point to make it look like it wasn't made of ice. But whatever it was doing was working for sure. I watched North as the doors shut. "And this is the library, feel free to look around." North said.

I followed Quinn as his fingers traced the leather books before pulling one out. The words seemed foreign to me, but I didn't really know how to read. My mother never taught me and Quinn never had the time. However Quinn knew how to read. I watched as he placed it back before I followed him once more.

Quinn pulled out another book and opened it. A picture of a wolf was on it. "What's that book about?" I asked. Quinn looked at me. "The former alliance of a wolf pack." Quinn said opening it to a page where there were wolf drawings everywhere and words in elegant curly handwriting.

Quinn handed it to me. "I'm sure you'll enjoy the drawings of the wolves in here." Quinn said and I set the leather bound book in my satchel before following him. Quinn's hair was combed to perfection the such softness that I wanted to touch it.

Any even forming of facial hair that he had was gone with a clean shaven face from the sharp edge of a blade. "Did you shave?" I asked. Quinn looked at me. "Yeah, it got annoying." Quinn said and I nodded at that before following him once more.
