Sina University was where my life prospered, however, perished.

It all began back in 2008, the year I enrolled as a freshman at the acclaimed private university. My expectations from the school were rigorous courses, advanced mathematics, and intriguing concepts taught by middle-aged, greying professors; lo and behold, those expectations were fulfilled, many overflowing with the amount of context per subject.

Although, the most intriguing subject that crossed my mind, and sight one fair afternoon, had to be the blond bombshell known as Pierce Kovich.

With turquoise eyes, ruffled, sandy hair, and a perfect jawline that complimented his features and unruly stubble, he was gorgeous to me; gorgeous to a young, foolish woman who aimed to be nothing more than a mere accountant.

It was painful, truly, attempting to gain his attention, he being a sophomore and an excelling member of Sina University's track team, and I being the reckless, obnoxious female I had become after graduating senior year at Stohess High. Looking back on it, I wish he never graced me with his appearance, knowing now the injustice he was capable of committing against me.

It was an injustice, an immoral act that taught me a valuable life lesson about being a fresh-faced beauty living among depraved individuals in a world we called, "reality".

Standing before the massive brick gates that surrounded the esteemed university, I clutched my mandatory textbooks with a firm grip, ignoring the odd pricking sensation that was beginning to prod at the thin padding of my bra. On top of that, the sweater I had decided to wear on my first day of college seemed too inadequate for both the weather and inanimate objects that came in contact with the fabric, but being the oblivious woman I had always been, it barely perturbed me.

From the front, the campus wasn't as large as I had imagined it to be, perhaps only enough to support an average amount of students. However, it was where I was going to spend the next four years to earn a degree, then package myself off to the city and search for an accounting job at some company or another.

See, my aspirations soared like any pretentious young adult, although, that's all they really could do. I was unmotivated, uninspired to complete goals I set for myself, so perching myself on this pedestal, dreaming and hoping for some big-league corporation to hire a sweet, young thing who had absolutely no job experience prior to applying, was a disaster and disappointment waiting to happen.

Those facts proved themselves within the first few months of college life, and through my mistakes both inside and outside of the classroom, I was able to learn, and cope with the stressful future that was weaving itself before my very eyes.

The first months were the most arduous in my opinion, having to acclimatize to the dorms, campus, and stretching hallways that harbored various lecture halls or extra-curricular meeting rooms. Although, once I recognized landmarks and specific points, trekking to my diverse set of classes became a relatively easy task.
