Spectrum crashed into Sapphire as she pinned Sapphire to the ground. Spectrum roared ferociously as she blasted fireballs at Sapphire.

Sapphire shrieked in pain as the fire melted her icy scales. Spectrum clawed at Sapphire's face as blood gushed out of her cheek.

She whimpered and yelped in pain as Spectrum bit at her neck and whacked her neck and head against the ground with her jaws.
Again.
And again.

"NOO!! Please stop it!" Ember cried out as Spectrum dropped Sapphire's neck and turned around, facing Ember.

She snarled and slowly walked up to Ember. Ember stood her ground and tried to reason with her.

"Please... I know you're somewhere in there, it's me.. Ember." Ember spoke to Spectrum as she lunged after her.

Ember jumped out of the way and noticed a dagger on the ground next to her.

One of the guards must've dropped it.

Ember thought to herself as she grabbed it and stood tall. She watched as Spectrum lunged at her. Ember sighed sadly as she let a tear fall out.

"I'm sorry but I need you to shift back." She whispered as she stabbed Spectrum in the chest simultaneously as the rainbow dragon came at her.

Spectrum whined in pain, blood oozed out of her chest, almost blending with some of the red scale patches on her chest.

Spectrum started shifting back into Tyler, the transformation healing her. Tyler groaned in pain as Ember stood at his side.

She looked down at him, "So that I can kill you." She said as she injected the blue serum in Tyler as he let out an unholy screech.

Blue liquid flowed and glowed in his veins.

Tears streamed down her face, "Goodbye Spectrum..." she whispered solemnly.

"NOOOO! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Tyler screamed as Ember grinned sadly.

"I couldn't let you have the most powerful dragon in the universe," Ember told him as Tyler growled.

"You little..." Tyler curled up his hands into fists as he gritted his teeth and lunged at Ember.

He grabbed her and pushed her up against the wall of a house. Tyler screamed furiously with pure anguish as Ember gasped.

He yanked her to the ground. Ember thudded against the dirt as she whimpered and tried to crawl away.

"Come back here..." Tyler scowled as he pulled Ember back up and slammed her body against the wall.

Tyler grasped her neck and gripped it tightly. She started choking as Tyler chuckled deviously. Ember felt the air was draining and getting sucked out of her.

She struggled and squirmed to find some oxygen but his fingers squeezed tighter as the pressure became intensely painful. She choked for air, for any sign to survive but she knew it was hopeless.

Pain was rising in her chest as her heart thumped rapidly in panic. She smacked Tyler's arm and kicked all over the place to just get some air but he held still.

Air.

Something so small and never thought of twice was something she dreadfully needed. She realized how easy it was to die. How quick life was fading right before her eyes. Everything was fading to black.

Suddenly she felt a fire rising within her core.

Ember felt the dragon spirit whisper and she quickly opened her eyes as she called out, "Spectrum!" She felt her bones breaking as the fire within her rose.

The dragon spirit filled the empty void inside. She felt her skin rip apart into scales and her head deform as it grew into a snout and her eyes change color and her pupils were thin lines as horns and spikes grew on her head and back, a tail grew from her backend as her nails grew longer into talons.

Tyler gasped in surprise as he stepped back. He watched Ember enlarge into the most powerful dragon in the universe...

Spectrum was back with the right person she'd picked on that fateful day. She locked eyes with Tyler, he gulped as Spectrum snarled. She stood mere millimeters in front of him, Tyler was shaking out of pure terror.

Spectrum snapped her head towards Sapphire, she heard Sapphire's weak groan. She ran to her side and saw her all beaten up and laying in a pool of blood.

Spectrum whined, "No..." She said softly as she shook her head. She nudged at Sapphire's side.

"Spectrum... Ember, I love you so much..." She groaned softly and weakly. Then she slowly closed her eyes.

"No no no no no..." Tears streamed down Spectrum's face as she whimpered uncontrollably, "Don't leave mm-m-me-ee..." Spectrum laid her head against hers as tears seeped onto Sapphire's scales.

She was lifeless.

Gone.

Spectrum sniffled and pulled away, her ears twitched to the sound of footsteps leaving her village. She whipped her head in the direction of the sound and saw Tyler sneaking away.

She roared angrily as she flew past him and dashed in front of him. Tyler screamed and Spectrum picked him up by the hood, he was squirming and flailing his arms around as Spectrum growled and furrowed her eyebrows.

She felt anger rising within her but she knew that she shouldn't kill anyone. No matter what, it just wasn't in her DNA.

Spectrum hung his hood on top of a pole on a village home as he dangled, flailing around helplessly. Spectrum felt satisfaction and amusement rise within her.

The people of the village was free of the chains now and Spectrum's aunt and uncle's faces were stained red from tears.

Uncle Mushu climbed onto Spectrum just to punch Tyler in the face, multiple times causing a nosebleed and Aunt Jenna slapped him hard right across the face.

"YOU KILLED MY BABY! YOU MONSTER!!" Uncle Mushu yelled as Aunt Jenna sobbed.

Spectrum purred as she rubbed her face against Jenna and Mushu. They sighed heavily and hugged her tightly, they stroked her snout and Mushu pulled

Tyler violently off of the pole and threw him inside of the empty village house and locked the door.

Spectrum looked at everyone else who lived in the village, some of them were crying and relieved. The people who were crying were the ones who got injected with the blue serum.

The serum that stole thier life-force forever.

"Wow... so much damage from one person."
Spectrum said softly to herself as she walked over to those people.

She purred and gave comfort to them. Convincing them that they were okay and they're all together now and that's what matters.

Even though Spectrum didn't feel like it...
