A couple of days went by and Cain was fairly busy with working also helping his mother with her Salon, working desk because one of the girls had a baby and looking for a replacement. He sat at the desk and he was organizing everything while the women watched, he didn't know he was being watched. He bites his lip as he looked up because someone walked in."Hello, welcome to Cher's Salon, walk-in or appointment?' He asked the woman, she was young, a redhead and had bottle blue eyes that immediately pierced his soul. She smiled flirtatiously and she leaned against the desk. "Appointment at five. Tell me, will you be the one washing my hair?" She asked twisting her hair and Cain looked at her then looked away. "No ma'am but Miss Delaney will," He murmured and the woman frowned as the curvaceous black lady comes from the back, Cain looks at Delaney. "She's the three o'clock," He tells her and Delaney eyed the white girl who looked terrified. "Come this way sugar."

"Can I get someone else?" The woman questioned and Cain knew she could but he shook his head."No, your ignorance will leave you with no new hairdo," He looked at her hair then he clicked his tongue and shook his head. "And split ends," He added and The woman huffed as she walks over to Delaney. Cain shakes his head as he gets up and he grabs the phone book, he walks to the back of the Salon and he sits down in the break room that was currently empty. He licked his lips as he looks for Ramon by her last name, he has been meaning to call her but he has been really busy with his Mother and she has him doing all types of stuff when Bruce just sits at home and does nothing. He found her number and quickly dials it.

He was a bit nervous and it rang for a moment until someone answered. "Hello this is the Maple residence," A girl answered and Cain paused for a moment. "Uhh is Ramona there?" He asked and it was a long pause then there was a lot of shuffling as if she sat the phone down. "Ramona there's a guy on the phone, it sounds like a really attractive white boy!" He hears the girl yell and Cain twisted his face a little because he didn't expect that, he wondered how she even knew that he was white. Someone picks up the phone. "Hello?" Ramona sweets voice spoke, he smiles softly. "Hi, it's Cain Papillion," He spoke and he chewed on his bottom, there a brief pause. "Hey, wow I thought that you have forgotten about me," She murmured and Cain hasn't forgotten about her not one time, ever since he had met her. "I could never, I actually have not to stop thinking about you and it's kind of freaking me out," He tells her straight up and Ramona chuckled and he felt his heart skip many beats. "I could say the same, I was wondering if you would like to come to a movie showing with me and my friends tonight at the drive-thru movie theater in Ennis? You don't have to come but it would be nice if you did," Ramona asked him, he takes the phone from his ear and he bites his lip. He put the phone back to his ear, "Yes, I would love to join you," He tells her and after he tells her that they should take his car because he had a drop top Impala which was absolutely gorgeous under the moonlight. They ended their call and he sighs as he looks up then he jumps at the sight of his mother who was smiling so big. "My sweet little boy, who's making you blush?" She asked him and he shyly shrugs. "A woman that I met," He murmured and Imelda sits in front of him, she pokes his arm. "Tell me something about her?"

Cain thought her pretty smile and her laugh ringed her ears but also how much he wanted to kiss all over her made his cheek flush red. "She's the one, I can feel it in my bones Mum. I just met her but I never was so drawn to a woman in my life, and she loves cats. Tonight I'm gonna see her again and I'm nervous," He says as he wipes his hands against his pants then Cher reaches out, she caresses her son's cheeks and she smiles gently looking into his green eyes that matched hers. "It's okay to be, that means you care and that's great that you do. You're a big sweetheart and you deserve happiness. So tell me who's your fair lady?" She didn't know that Ramona was nowhere near fair and she was a Black Woman who took his heart already. "She's not fair more like rich, very beautiful rich brown skin," Cain described and Cher eyes popped out of her head. "Oh I would love some little brown grandchildren, that would make happy," She gushed because his older brother had no children and in fact, he was married to the most prudent woman that ever walked the earth and he accepted the fact that she didn't want any.
