Dear second chance,

You came to the party
On March 5th on a Saturday,
I caught your eye and died inside.
You just wanted to see me dancing alone.
You broke my heart,
Expecting me to stay.
It was hard for me to see your face,
So I ran far away.
Every little thing reminds of you,
Even that old parlor, on the corner of fifth avenue,
Where we stayed up late,
Eating your brother's two day old ice cream cake.
You strutted towards me, as a slow song was tuning in.
"Can i have this dance?" You sheepishly asked.
A pregnant pause followed,
Before I took your hand in mine.
"I'll regret this...you've got one more chance," I sigh.
Because, second chances right?

With love,
