Chapter 2

"I can't believe she actually let you talk to her like that!" Chae exclaims. I chuckle and shrug,

"I guess it's my charm," I begin to flex my invisible muscles causing Jisoo and chae to roll their eyes and chuckle.

"I like your attitude Lisa so, you are officially part of our amazing friendship, we welcome you Lalisa Manoban with open arms." Jisoo exclaims loudly, earning a few annoyed looks from the other students. I laugh,

"Wow seems serious, well, I guess its officially official." I reply. I dramatically bow,

"I would be honored," I exclaim. Our idiocy causes Chae to blush in embarrassment.

"What have I gotten myself into," She mutters to herself as Jisoo and I begin to erupt in laughter. Suddenly a pair of cat like eyes appears into my mind. I then began to feel curious at the memory of the coldness in her eyes,

"What's up with the kitten by the way?" Jisoo tilts her head in confusion,

"Kitten?" She asks. We stay silent for a moment but as soon as realization hits them they begin to giggle,

"Why kitten?" Chae asks. I shrug,

"She has the eyes of a cat," not really understanding what I meant but not caring at the same time, they quickly shrug it off,

"Well where should I begin? Jennie Kim, the daughter of the owner of this school, queen bee. Her group consists of Joy, Irene, yeri and Wendy. They're literally the nicest girls you can ever meet, polar opposite of Jennie Kim. She's a different person when she's with them, always smiling and laughing, it's actually refreshing seeing that." I unconsciously begin to smile at the thought of being the cause of the angry kittens smile. I wonder how it looks like? Jisoo then cuts in,

"I don't know why she's always so bitter towards everyone, but she can make your life a living hell. She can destroy your whole reputation or get you expelled from the school." I gulp, slightly nervous from these facts about Jennie.

"She's really that powerful here?" I ask. They both nod,

"Yup, so I'm actually really surprised on how she just walked away from you, that never happens," Chae says. I smile evilly,

"Fascinating." Chae and Jisoo quickly give each other a worried look,

"Uh oh, you're going to be a real problem here in this school aren't you?" Jisoo asks nervously but also quite intrigued. I shrug and smugly reply,

"I have no idea what you're talking about," I wink at them causing them to laugh and punch me playfully at the same time, causing me to wince in pain.

'These girls man..'

We make our way to our algebra class, I bid Jisoo and Chaeyoung a 'see you later' as they make their way to their own assigned seats. As I begin to walk towards the professor, I start to feel a pair of cold eyes on me. I turn towards the culprit and smirk slightly,

'Well hello there Jennie Kim.'

She narrows her eyes on me more at the sight of my smirk. I turn away and begin to speak to the professor. I bow to him,

"Hello sir, my name is Lalisa Manoban, I'm new." He then smiles,

"Hello, I'm professor Seungri, welcome to YG High School," I smile and nod as he begins to explain the rules he has in the class, but was slightly distracted by the fuming kitten at the back corner of the class. I flicker my eyes towards her and noticed she still had her angry cat eyes on me. She scoffs and quickly looks away when I teasingly send her a flirty wink. I hear Jisoo and Chae snicker at my actions, causing her to quickly glare at them, shutting them up. I turn my gaze back at the professor,

"Where will I be sitting sir?" He gazes around the room and then points to an empty chair. I follow his gaze and internally squeal in excitement and slight fear seeing that the available seat was next to Jennie. Feeling my gaze she slowly turns around and furrows her eyebrows in confusion seeing the professor and I looking her way. She follows our gaze and instantly groans in annoyance. She quickly leans forward and rests her head in her arms. I chuckle silently,

'This girl is really something.'

I bow to the professor and begin to make my way to the desk. I flop myself on the chair obnoxiously loud, trying to gain her attention, but she remains still. I turn my chair so I was facing her and rest my elbow on the desk, cupping my cheek.

"So, I heard you're name is Jennie Kim, queen bee of the school?" I nonchalantly say, gaining a few curious eyes from the other students. I quickly narrow my eyes at them, one of my biggest pet peeves are nosey bastards,

"Nosey much?" I sharply say causing them to quickly turn their heads away from us nervously by the tone of my voice. Apparently that caught the attention from the kitten. She was gazing at me with furrowed eyebrows. I smile innocently at her which causes her to roll her eyes,

"Look, we are going to be sitting together for the whole year and I don't exactly like you so I would very much appreciate it if we both never acknowledge each other," she coldly replies. I purse my lips and look away, pretending as if I was deep in thought. I tap my chin,

"Hmmm seems possible." I mumble. Jennie sighs in relief,

"Glad we're on the same page-" I quickly cut her off,

"But, I for one very much enjoy your company so, I decline your offer." I nonchalantly reply. I turn my gaze to her and smile wide seeing her mouth agape. Seems like no one has ever spoken to her like this.

"T..This offer wasn't meant to be declined! It wasn't even an offer to begin with! You have no choice-" I cut her off again, I lean forward causing her eyes to widen and lean back, away from me. I stare deeply into her cold cat like eyes, and begin to feel my heart thump wildly against my chest,

'That's new,'

"We always have a choice, we make our own decisions Jennie Kim, and I get to decide on what I want, or who I want." I boldly reply. Jennie gulps nervously at my words and begins blush deeply under my intense gaze. I smile in content of her reaction and lean back in my seat. She quickly shakes her head, removing herself from her trance,

"W..who do you think you are?" She sharply replies. I smile innocently at her,

"Again it's Lisa, and it's a pleasure to meet you miss Kim, I hope we become well acquainted." I reply. Fuming with annoyance she goes to reply but gets cut off by the sound of the bell, indicating that class has started. With one last wink, I quickly turn towards the teacher, ignoring the cold stares of a certain brunette. I hear her huff, I flicker my eyes towards her and chuckle seeing her arms crossed and her eyebrows scrunched together in annoyance. I quietly whisper towards her,

"Stop being cute, I'm trying to pay attention to the teacher," she scoffs a little too loud,

"You piece of shi-" she gets cut off my the sound of our professor clearing his throat,

"Is there a problem Miss Kim?" She instantly sits up straight and presents a fake smile,

"No sir, nothing at all." I chuckle but quickly hiss in pain as she kicks my shin, very hard I might add. I narrow my eyes at her and scoff, seeing that sexy smirk drawn on her glossy lips. I shake my head and smile to myself,

"You really are something Jennie Kim," I whisper to myself. Jennie tenses slightly but quickly shakes it off. This kitten beside me is very intriguing, nothing is going to stop me from getting to know this girl. There's something about her that is drawing me in, yes her beauty is out of this world but maybe it was the dark aura around her that instantly makes other people walk the other way, but understanding that it's probably just a facade, an act to keep her position in the school but I just knew that I wanted to know more about her.
