Chapter 3

"I have never seen Jennie so flustered in my life!" She exclaims a little too loudly as we entered the cafeteria. It was already lunch time and Jisoo was practically praising me about the scene in our algebra class. Grinning, I reply,

"I can't help it, shes an interesting creature." She chuckles and shrugs,

"I don't really understand you but this change is pretty intriguing," she says, I tilt my head in confusion,

"Why do you say that?" I ask. She nonchalantly replies,

"I don't know, I just feel like it's about time something was different in this school." I nod, trying to comprehend the situation.

Was this school always like this? Was it always so typical and bland? Every school has their typical students who praised the floor that the queen bee has walked on. No one understands that it's only one person vs hundreds of other students. People can be pretty idiotic. I sigh,

'How boring.'

As we enter the cafeteria, Jisoo quickly grabs my arm and drags me to the line to get our food,

"They're serving chicken today! Fucking chicken!" She excitedly exclaims. I shake my head and chuckle at her excited antics. After we get our food we instantly make our way towards Chae. As we were walking towards the table I couldn't help but glance around the room. Gazing around the room I noticed everyone was with their own clique, we have the typical nerds, typical jocks, typical cheerleaders and then there's a certain table in the center of the room, the queen bees clique. I sigh and click my tongue,

'How typical.'

"Seems like the queen isn't here yet," I mutter to myself. As if on cue, the doors suddenly open and the room becomes silent. I roll my eyes as everyone turns their attention to "the queen." I flop myself down next to Jisoo and chaeng, who are fortunately minding their own business.

"Is it always like this?" I ask. They roll their eyes and nod,

"Unfortunately," Chae mumbles out. I lift my gaze and begin to follow Jennie with my eyes, she really is beautiful. I feel my heart thump wildly against my chest as a small smile begins to appear on her face at the sight of her friends. Even if it didn't reach her eyes, it was still bright and beautiful. She was captivating me and I didn't care,

'What are you doing to me Jennie Kim?'

Feeling my stares she begins to turn towards me and freezes as our gazes meet and lock. I feel my breath hitch at the sight of her piercing cat eyes gazing back into my big doe eyes. I felt like I was in a trance, and surprisingly it wasn't just me. She didn't narrow her eyes or look away, she was frozen under my intense gaze. It was as if everyone in the room disappeared and it was just me and the lovely kitten. My heart was thumping so wildly against my chest I felt like it was going to burst any minute. I unconsciously begin to send her a soft smile, which caused her to widen her eyes slightly, startled by my new action towards her. Unfortunately, before she had the chance to do anything else her friend quickly grabs her attention, removing both of us from our own little world. I blink rapidly and shake my head as I finally realized where I was. I quickly turn my gaze to the silent duo and cringe at their faces. They were smirking knowingly towards me,

"Aish, someone's got a little crush on a certain someone," Jisoo teases. I chuckle and grin,

"Can't help it," they both gasp simultaneously at my response.

"Damn girl, and here I thought you would deny it." Chae remarks seeming to be impressed. I shrug,

"What's the point in denying it if it's obvious?" I nonchalantly say causing them to smile wide,
