Unexpected Love

Chapter 8

Zendayas POV

It had been almost 6 weeks since we'd started filming and I was having a blast, myself and Zac were so good, we'd been together a couple of weeks now and I couldn't be happier. I wish I could scream it from the roof tops but it just wasn't the time to make an announcement, and when we wrapped filming and did all the press interviews, we knew that's all we'd be asked about, so we're keeping it quiet, which is killing us.

It was 1pm and myself, Zac, and afew of the other cast were sat in the canteen having lunch.

"Hey guys, we're going for drinks tonight if you're all up for it, we've all got a day off tomorrow so we thought we'd go and let our hair down, I think someones gonna call one of the bars and ask them if they can like reserve somewhere big for us or something, about 8?" Keala said as she put down her coffee on the table.

I looked at Zac and smiled before nodding to everyone else, "sure, I'm up for it if everyone else is?

"Yeah"

"Awesome"

"Definitely I'm in"

"Absolutley"

It was 7:30pm and I was just finishing up getting ready, I'd changed my lipstick 3 times but had finally decided on nude, as I was wearing an asymmetric yellow dress and some strappy gold heels, my hair had been blown for my so it was silky smooth, Darnell had managed to get me in at a salon close by to the hotel last minute.

Zac had never seen me all fancy and glammed up, he'd only every seen me in my comfys, training clothes or costume... Or sometimes his t-shirts.

The hotel door knocked.

"That'll be Zac, can you let him in D?" I called from the bathroom.

I finished fixing my lashes and headed out of the bathroom to see Zac.

"Wow... You look... Incredible, amazing... Beautiful" he said staring at me with a smile.

"Alright soft ass don't compliment me too much, my ego might get bigger than yours" I joked as I planted a soft kiss on his lips.

He had on some suit pants, cropped, just above the ankle, and a blazer to match, in navy blue, a white t-shirt and some bright white sneakers. His hair was styled to perfection, as always.

"Just an orange soda please" I said to the Hugh, who was insistent to get the first drink for everyone. I didn't really drink, I didn't feel the need, I had no issue with anyone around me drinking, but I personally just don't make that choice.

Everyone was here tonight, all the cast, crew, catering team, makeup and hair stylist, even costume designers, and it was so nice to be able to see everyone without being stuck to a filming schedule.

Myself and Zac we're playing it cool, mingling with everyone else instead of sticking together.

"So you really did your first TV at 13?!" Keala asked me as she sipped her drink.

"Sure did, it wasn't actually that scary, I was nervous at first but once I realised I could re do the take, I was chill, I cant believe you've been on broadway for 15 years, that's insane!" I replied loudly so she could hear me over the music.

"Yep, pretty crazy really, I've always hidden though, you aren't as known on the stage, I can still have a normal life" Keala replied.

"Well prepare for that to change cause when they see you in this film, you're life will never be the same again!" I said back, half joking, but half serious.

"How do you cope with it Z? Do you ever get to do anything private?"

I wanted to open up and tell her all about me and Zac, but I just could, we'd agreed.

"Umm... I do in my own home, and in my trailer and my hotel room and stuff, but if I go out I know if I am just getting on with it as soon as one person sees you then a crowd will form, but I'm kinda used to it now, it's been my life for like 8 years now" I replied sighing "don't get me wrong I love what I do, but I just wish I could switch it off sometimes".

Myself and Keala continued to talk for a while, she was pretty awesome, and super down to earth.

10:20pm

"I just wanna say guys, and I'll keep it short and sweet" Hugh said as he held a microphone to his mouth and stood on the dancefloor. "This film is the most incredible film I have ever been a part of making, and I am working with some truly incredible people, we're not even halfway through filming and already we're the closest family I could every have asked for to work with. I love each and every single one of you, and I truly mean that. Now lets party!"

Everyone started cheering as the music was turned back up, everyone went over to shake hands with Hugh, he really was like the dad of the movie, he took care of everyone, even down to the people who cleaned the trailers. He was awesome.

The party was rockin' and everyone was super drunk, including Zac.

All of a sudden we heard it... The greatest show, it was being played. Everyone started laughing and wooping before running to the dance floor to re-enact the scene. I stood by and watched, no way I was going that in these heels!

"Hey Z come on!!" Zac called over as he stood waiting for his que, bless him! I rolled my eyes and put down my drink before walking over and standing by Zac.

"I'll just wait here until I dance, I can hardly fly around the place" I joked.

Zac put his arm around my and onto the bottom of my back, I got butterflies, then realised, someone might see.

"Babe, be careful, we don't want people to see" I said to him before turning my body slightly.

"I don't care, I just wanna show you off to the world! I just love you" he slured.

What... Thank god the music was super loud, or we'd have a lot of explaining to do.

"Wait... what?" I asked, I was lost for words, did he just say?.... Before I could ask, I was interrupted by Hugh, who was completey focused on the scene, reciting his script word for word, this was hilarious! I lost the opportunity to actually say anything cause he was then gone, knee sliding into the crowd, I burst out laughing at him, he was so funny. I waited for my que before running into position and dancing.

"THIS IS THE GREATEST SHOW!!" Everyone sang before Zac pulled pulled me down just like in the film, but this time he obviously didn't kiss me, but was super close.

The whole Bar went insane, crew, caterers, costume, everyone was going wild, I felt like I was on broadway myself and had just finished the the final number, what a buzz I felt.

Everyone fell about laughing before heading back to the tables to continue chatting, some people staying to dance.

Id realised Zac was probably too wasted to try and ask him if he was serious about what he said, I'll ask him tomorrow, if he even rememebers!

4am

We both stumbled through the door of Zacs hotel room, myself from laughter and Zac because he was totally wasted.

"I think we should go to bed babe" I laughed as I lead Zac to bed.

"No I want Pizza" he slurred, I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"No you need a glass of water and a good sleep is what you need, and I need to get these shoes off!" I replied as he fell onto the bed and I began to get undressed.

I headed towards the kitchen area in Zacs tshirt to get him a glass of water, I walked back into the bedroom to find him already asleep in his pants and white t-shirt, it wasn't worth trying to wake him, I just laughed and climbed in beside him.

Not that I could sleep myself, did he really say he loved me?...
