Sapphire's POV:

I slowly drifted back to the land of reality as my dreams faded into the deepest part of my mind. The soft chirps of birds sounded outside, and I snuggled into the soft covers that were wrapped around me. I yawned slightly as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes; when I opened them, I realized that I wasn't in my bed. I wasn't even in the Slytherin common room. Then the events of last night came flooding back to me. 'I'm laying in Gellert's bed, but... where's Gellert?' I said inside of my head. I looked around and found that I was in fact alone. Instead of getting up, I just snuggled deeper into the covers and bed. The door opened, revealing Gellert with a tray in his hands. He was wearing a pair of light blue pajama pants and a plain white t-shirt. A silver deathly Hallows necklace glittered in the faint sunlight that filtered through the curtains. 'I guess he bought one for him when he got me my deathly hallows necklace.' I thought inside of my head. "Good morning, Sapphire. I hope you like pancakes." He said as he sat the tray on the bedside table and joined me underneath the covers. As he reached for the tray to sit on his lap, I noticed two steaming cups of tea and two plates of pancakes with butter and syrup. "I love pancakes." I replied with a smile. "Good." He replied with a smile on his handsome face. We drank our tea and are our pancakes in comfortable silence. They tasted like cinnamon and vanilla, which made the maple syrup even more sweet. "These are the best pancakes I've ever had." I said after I swallowed thickly. "Thanks, I'm really glad you like them." He replied with a cute smile on his face. We continued eating, and the only sound was coming from the crackling fireplace. "How did you sleep?" He asked me curiously after taking a sip of his tea. "I slept great. Your bed and covers are really soft." I replied, which made him chuckle lightly. "I slept good too. I'll have to teach you a charm to make your bed and stuff more comfortable." He said as we finished eating our pancakes. I got out of bed to helped him take the dishes into the little kitchen, when I realized I was wearing a pair of light gray pajama pants and an oversized white t-shirt. "Um... Gellert... when did I change?" I asked him curiously, feeling a little uncomfortable. "Oh, I magically changed your clothes. I didn't touch you or see anything I shouldn't have. I just... figured you'd be more comfortable in pajamas rather than jeans." He said sweetly, and I relaxed. 'At least he was sweet about it, and didn't take advantage of me.' I thought inside of my head. I followed him out of the room and into the kitchen, which was across from the living room. "I'll clean up, since you made me breakfast." I said as as he placed the cups and plates into the sink. "No, it's okay. I can do it." He replied. With a flick of his wand, the dishes started cleaning themselves. I knew he was going to use magic, because it was easier but... I just couldn't help but feel a little guilty about it. He and I got ready for the day; he ended up giving me a set of his own clothes to wear because I didn't have any with me. After I took a bath in his private bathroom, I put on the pants and stuff he let me borrow. The black sweatpants and blue sweater was oversized, but amazingly comfortable. Besides, they smelled like him. He walked into the living room area wearing his usual professor robes. That's when I realized that our morning was coming to an end. In a few minutes we'd have to part ways, and I'd be alone in the Slytherin common room once again. The thought made me sad, and I guess he noticed the sadness in my eyes from what he did next. "I'll visit you in your dorm tonight. I know you're probably lonely without having Mr. Malfoy there to give you company." He said as he sat down on the couch beside of me. "Thanks, Gellert. I really do appreciate the time you're spending on me." I said, feeling unbelievably grateful. "That's what friends do... spend time on each other. Make each other feel cared about, appreciated, and loved." He said as he reached towards me. He placed his large hand on the side of my face, and gently stroked my cheek with his thumb. My heart skipped a beat at his soft touch, and I was almost positive that I was blushing. "I know you make me feel cared about, appreciated, and loved. But... do I make you feel that way?" I asked him curiously with slightly furrowed brows. An attractive side smile spread across his handsome face as he slowly moved closer to me. "You make me feel loved more than you'll ever know." He whispered softly next to my ear. His warm breath tickled my neck, causing goosebumps to form on my skin. Tingles went down my spine as well. 'What are you doing to me Gellert Grindelwald?' I thought inside of my head. He left a gentle kiss on my cheek before he removed his hand from my face. "You better get to the Slytherin common room before Snape has time to search it. If you aren't there when he does you'll be in a heap of trouble." He said as he stood up. I quickly put my shoes on and walked out of his private quarters, into his office. He gave me a tight hug after we said our goodbyes. As soon as I left the classroom I desperately wanted to turn around and spend the whole day with him, but I knew I couldn't. I kept a careful watch on my way back to the common room. I didn't wanna run into Snape or Peeves. As soon as I sat down in one of the comfortable chairs, the portrait hole opened. Snape gracefully strode into the room and stopped just a foot from where I was sitting. "Good morning, professor. Is there something wrong?" I asked him curiously with a raised eyebrow. I made sure to block my mind as well, so he couldn't read it at his leisure. "I was just curious as to why you hadn't came down to the Great Hall for breakfast. You usually always dine with the rest of the students and staff. I figured you might be ill or something." He lied through his teeth. If I didn't know he was up to something I might have believe though; he is skilled at telling lies. "Oh, no. I'm fine, I just wasn't feeling particularly hungry this morning. But I appreciate that you were kind enough to come and check on me." I replied. He hummed as if he wasn't sure if he should believe me or not, especially since I wasn't letting him invade my thoughts. A moment of silence passed over us as his onyx eyes surveyed me suspiciously. "Those clothes you're wearing are a little large for you. What did you do? Buy the wrong size, or borrow them from someone?" He said, narrowing his eyes at me slightly. "I love wearing oversized clothes when I'm just relaxing. They're much more comfortable." I replied. After a few minutes of uncomfortable silence, he said his goodbyes. He stormed out of the portrait hole, obviously annoyed that he didn't have a reason to give me detention or something. I however, was rather pleased with myself. I smiled, thinking of the sweet moments I had with Gellert this morning as I started at the blazing fire in the fireplace. Around ten thirty, I decided I should start wrapping the Christmas presents I got for my friends and professors. I got Draco a bunch of candy from Honey Dukes, a brand new Slytherin scarf, and a Slytherin beanie. The scarf he had been wearing all November was starting to look dingy. After I finished wrapping his presents, I moved on to Nick's. I got him candy as well, along with a Quidditch book and a Hufflepuff beanie. Obviously, I got my Gryffindor friends some stuff as well. Harry: Quidditch supplies, Hermione: Some interesting looking books, Ron: Candy. For Fred and George I bought some Zonko's products for them, even though they probably already owned half of the store anyway. For my teachers, I mostly just got them stationary. But I got Gellert, and Dumbledore something extra. Since Dumbledore liked my socks, I got him a pair that was exactly the same; black and white striped. I got him some sparkly ones as well, because I had a feeling he'd like them. Deep down I debated on whether I should get Dumbledore and Snape something, but I figured I should so they didn't suspect that I knew anything. For Gellert, I bought him a nice black leather journal with the deathly hallows symbol on it in silver. I found a silver ring with the deathly hallows symbol on it as well for him. In all honesty, I just hoped that everyone liked what I had gotten them. Once I was finished wrapping the presents, I ended up heading down to the Great Hall for lunch. When I walked in I spotted Gellert talking with professor Kreizler, but they stopped once I walked in. I secretly wondered if they had been talking about me. Snape was eyeing me suspiciously, but I didn't let it get to me. A small smile was on Gellert's face; I had a feeling it was because I was still wearing his clothes, but I couldn't help it. They were so comfortable and they smelled like him. They made me feel like I was getting a cozy hug from him. The next couple of days were pretty much the same. I didn't spend anymore time in Gellert's private Quarters though, and he stopped visiting me in the Slytherin common room. We agreed that we shouldn't do that anymore as long as Snape was still suspicious of us. Gellert mentioned that he had spotted Snape not far from the common room one night, when he exited the portrait hole. A white male cat with different colored eyes leaving the Slytherin common room would be a dead giveaway. It was best if we just acted like our relationship was nothing more than just teacher and student. But I admit that I missed him like crazy. I missed his hugs. I missed his little cheek and forehead kisses. I was in the middle of reading when a light tap came from my dorm window. As I got off of my bed I closed my book and sat it on my desk with the others. I spotted a screech owl sitting on the windowsill with a letter clamped in its beak. When I opened the window a rush of cold air came in, and I shivered. After taking the letter the owl flew off and I quickly closed the window. I walked back to my bed and opened the envelope, which was sealed with red wax.

Dear Miss Sapphire Vander,

If you don't have anything very important to do this evening after dinner, please join me in my office for a nice cup of tea.

- Albus Dumbledore

P.s. The password is fudge flies.

I was sceptical that it was actually Dumbledore who sent the letter, but it wouldn't hurt to find out. I put the letter back into its envelope and tossed it aside. When I checked the time I realized that it was almost time for dinner. 'I better get going or Snape will burst down the door looking for me.' I said inside of my head, which amused me a bit. To my surprise, Snape wasn't present for dinner. That only made me even more suspicious. Professor McGonagall asked where Snape was, which was obviously on everyone else's minds as well. "Hagrid went into Hogsmead to pick up a few things for me. Snape went along with him to make sure he gets everything I need." Dumbledore replied with a small smile before he took drink from his goblet. 'He sent Snape out on purpose.' I said inside of my head. I finished eating before everyone else and excused myself from the table. I roamed the halls as I waited for dinner to end. When I spotted the Ravenclaw students heading to their common room, I knew I should go see Dumbledore. When I reached the gargoyle I muttered the password and the stone steps appeared. The whole time I walked towards his office door, I tried preparing myself for what was going to happen. I knew he didn't just invite me to tea. 'Just relax, Sapphire.' I said inside of my head as I knocked on the closed office door. "Enter." He said on the other side. I opened the door and found that the office was just the same as the last time I had been in here. A few of the portraits that hung all around the walls were sleeping, but I had no doubt that some were just pretending. "Good evening, Miss Vander. Please, have a seat." He said as he gestured to a comfortable looking chair in front of his desk. I did as he asked and he magically poured each of us a cup of tea. We made small talk for a while as we drank three pots of tea. 'Now I'm gonna be up all night, having to pee every ten seconds.' I thought inside of my head. "Professor Dumbledore, why did you want to see me? Really?" I asked him curiously with furrowed brows. A smile spread across his face and his blue eyes twinkled. "There's no fooling you, is there Sapphire?" He said, which took me aback. I couldn't believe he actually used my first name instead of my last. I was use to Gellert saying it, but it was strange coming out of Dumbledore's mouth. "What do you mean, professor?" I asked as I sat my tea cup in its saucer. He stood up from his desk. "Follow me, I believe there's a few things you should know." He said as he gestured for me to follow him. We walked to the other side of his office, where he opened a cabinet. He turned around and walked towards me, so I could see what he had taken out of the cabinet. A stone basin was sticking out of the cabinet doors he had just opened. The inside of the basin almost look like a mirror that swirled like smoke. Even though it wasn't deep, it looked as if the smokey liquid went on forever. It kinda reminded me of a crystal ball in a way. I suddenly felt like I was in one of my divination classes. "What is it, professor?" I asked him curiously. "A pensieve." He replied, followed by a long moment of absolute silence.
