Sapphire's POV:

Nick and I were sitting outside by the tree next to the black lake. The hot summer sun was beating down on us, but a light breeze kept us from getting hear stroke. We were trying to relax after our very last N.E.W.T test, which was a bit easier than expected. But the relief of having those major exams finished was like having a heavy weight lifted off of my shoulders. "I wonder how the others are doing." Nick said, breaking the silence. The underclassmen were taking their final exams for their classes, but I bet none of them were as stressed as us and the O.W.L test takers. "They're probably doing great." I replied. Then another long moment of comfortable silence settled down upon us. I was taking in the beautiful scenery around us at the moment. The way the breeze rustled the green leaves as well as the grass. Not to mention the peaceful ripples in the black lake that were caused by the giant squid. In a few days time graduation would take place, and then we'd probably never set foot in Hogwarts ever again. The idea was a little depressing, especially since this school had become my home. A place where I met my friends who ultimately became my family. And it's where I met my wonderful boyfriend, Gellert Grindelwald. "Hey! What are you two up to?" A familiar voice said. As we turned to look we seen Fred and George walking towards us, and eventually they sat down to join us. "We were just relaxing. What about you guys?" Nick replied. "Oh, we're going to give Hogwarts one last farewell before graduation." George said with a smile on his face. "Yeah, we're gonna give Filch a run for his money." Fred said excitedly. "Would you two like to join us?" They said at the exact same time. As tempting as it sounded the two of us declined the twins offer. They left to do their mischief, leaving Nick and I alone once more. Eventually he and I went for a nice little stroll around the grounds before dinner time. As we walked into the entrance hall we spotted our friends. We all made the decision to meet up after dinner in the astronomy tower, then we broke off to sit at our house tables. Before we were allowed to eat Dumbledore stood up and made a little speech. He expressed how proud he was of all of us. It was just really uplifting after suffering through days of exams. As soon as he finished talking the tables fills with food and everyone started filling their plates. "How was your exams?" Draco asked me curiously. "Stressful, but I'm glad they're over with. How was your exams?" I said before putting a fork full of mashed potatoes in my mouth. "They were alright I guess. I just hope I passed." He replied, shrugging slightly. I knew why he wasn't in a very happy mood, and I felt sorry for him. I'd probably be sad too if two of my friends were leaving school and I had to stay behind. "I'm sure you passed all of your classes." I said after I swallowed a drink of dandelion juice. The entire hall was filled with buzzing conversation. Everyone was excited that their classes and tests were all over. Some were probably eager to leave Hogwarts behind and enjoy vacations with their families. A pang of jealousy filled my stomach as I thought about my parents and how I would never see them again. That jealousy was replaced with fear when I realized I wouldn't be able to stay at Hogwarts this summer, because I'd no longer be Snape's teaching assistant. 'Sirius said you could live with him and Remus. You have nothing to worry about, Sapphire.' I said inside of my head. The panic that was rising inside of me subsided and melted away just as quick as it had come. After everyone was finished eating Dumbledore dismissed us from the Great Hall. Draco and I waited for Nick and the others before heading to the astronomy tower. Hermione asked me millions of questions about N.E.W.T's but I didn't wanna spend the whole time talking about tests. I don't think anyone else did either, because Ginny quickly changed the subject. Fred and George talked about the massive amount of dung bombs they set off for Filch to find. We all laughed except for Hermione who just gritted her teeth slightly. "So... I guess you guys will be graduating before too long." Luna said, which switched the mood instantly. Everyone got very quiet. "Yeah, I guess we are." I said. "It's kinda strange knowing that we have to leave this place after so many years." Fred said. "It kinda feels like you're leaving home for the very first time." Nick said and I agreed. A few moments of silence passed where the only sounds were coming from the grounds. Birds were still singing because the sun hadn't went down yet. A couple of crickets were chirping. Some frogs by the black lake were singing as well. Nick and exchanged a look before either one of us spoke up. "We'll try to visit you guys during every Hogsmead visit." Nick said, and they seemed to brighten up a bit. "Plus there's always holidays." I chipped in an attempt to keep everyone in high spirits. Then we talked about all the things we'd do this summer together. Even I was starting to feel a bit better. I didn't have to start my wand making training until the middle of September. In a way I was looking forward to graduation now even though I knew I'd miss my friends like crazy. As the sun turned into a blood orange strip on the horizon we started splitting up. All the couples went off to be alone. Soon it was just Draco and I alone in the astronomy tower. He and I just talked to each other. "I promise I'll try to write you every day or at least every week." I said as he and I walked downstairs to reach the hall. "I know you will, Sapphire. You're a great friend and so are the rest of our friends." He said with a slight laugh. Once we reached the Slytherin common room we sat down in our favorite arm chairs. A few students were milling around, but before too long everyone went to their dorms or decided to walk the halls. With a flick of my wand I filled and heated up the kettle so he and I could have a nice cup of hot tea. "Thanks. I really needed that." He said after we finished drinking. "So did I." I replied. Around ten o'clock we said goodnight to each other before going up to our dorms. I closed and locked the door behind me before changing into my pajamas. Then I went through my things to start packing. I didn't want to leave everything until the last minute. I put my dirty clothes in one pile so I could clean them tomorrow morning. Then I packed up all of my personal items as well as my books. 'I can leave the rest for another day.' I thought inside of my head as I climbed into bed. I looked up at the ceiling for a few minutes before falling into a deep sleep. I woke up the next morning just and rubbed the sleep from my eyes before stretching. Then I got ready for the day. After washing up I put on a pair of ripped blue jeans and a Weird Sisters t-shirt. I cleaned my clothes before heading down into the common room where I met up with Draco. We walked towards the Great Hall together where we talked to Nick and Luna for a little while. None of us had any plans besides hanging out with each other, but I wanted to see Gellert. I needed to see him and make up for the time we've been apart. Especially since we haven't gotten to see each other besides during class since we got back from Christmas break. So after breakfast I went to Gellert's office and found him scribbling on a piece of paper. "Hey." I said to get his attention. When he looked up at me his eyes sparkled at the sight of me. "Hey. Have a seat sweetheart. I gotta finish this and we can spend some time together." He said. I sat down in the chair facing his desk and waited. When he was finished with what he was doing he stood up and walked towards me. "Come here." He said with a smile on his handsome face. I stood up and we pulled each other in a cozy hug. I snuggled into his chest and breathed in his comforting scent. The sound of someone knocking on his office door made us jump slightly. We broke the hug and he quickly returned to his desk chair. "Come in!" Gellert said, and the door opened. As I turned around I saw Remus walking into the room. "Oh, I was hoping you'd be here Sapphire." Remus said once he spotted me. "You were?" I asked him curiously with furrowed brows. "Someone is on their way to see you. I thought it was best for him to use the floo network." Remus said as he walked over to Gellert's fireplace. We watched him with furrowed brows as the flames turned green and out came Sirius Black from the grate. "Sirius!" I said in surprise and delight. It was nice seeing him again after so many months. I stood up and gave him a big hug. "I'll let you guys talk." Remus said with a smile before leaving the office. "It's so good to see you again, Sapphire. But I guess I'll be seeing a lot of you now that you won't be going to Hogwarts any more." Sirius said as we broke the hug. "What do you mean by that?" Gellert said in a hostile sort of tone. "Well, she'll be living with Remus and I so she's closer to Olivander's wand shop. She'll have to go there everyday for training." Sirius replied as it was obvious. "If you think I'm letting her live with you, you are mistaken." Gellert said as he stood up. There was an ominous dark look in his multicolored eyes. An awkward silence filled the room. I kept looking from Sirius to Gellert and back again. Sirius was taken aback and slightly confused at how hostile Gellert was being towards him. "Oh! I get it, you think I'm trying to take her away from you." Sirius said. Now it was Gellert's turn to look confused. "He knows you and I are boyfriend and girlfriend. It didn't take him long to figure it out, especially after your visit to the burrow during Christmas." I said. Gellert's mouth was slightly open in shock and a hint of fear was in his eyes. There's no doubt that he was surprised. I'm sure I probably looked the same way when Sirius told me he knew about Gellert and I. "You have nothing to worry about. Sapphire is like the daughter I never had. And trust me when I say that I'll make sure no one tries to steal her from you." Sirius said. A long moment of silence filled the air as we all just sort of looked at each other. I almost thought that we'd be in complete silence forever until someone spoke up. "So... you know about Sapphire and I? And... you aren't interested in her romantically?" Gellert said as if he was still trying to process everything. We explained everything, but Sirius was doing most of the talking. Mostly because I had no idea how he found out about my relationship with Gellert, and I wasn't sure why Sirius seen me as a daughter. But there were tears in my eyes once he had finished talking. "Oh, I almost forgot. Molly told me that you'll be going to the burrow after leaving Hogwarts. Apparently she wants you guys to spend the summer together before moving into 12 Grimmauld Place. I don't blame her really." Sirius said after he stood up. After we said our goodbyes he left through the fireplace, but he didn't go home. He actually went to Remus's office instead. I figured they wanted to talk about a few things since they haven't seen each other in a long time as well. I followed Gellert into his private quarters where we cuddled and drank some of his fruity tea. "Well, I better go find my friends. They're probably wondering where I am." I said with a deep sigh. Honestly I wanted to spend more time with him, but I knew he was probably busy with grading exams. "Okay. I'll see you later, sweetheart." He said before he pulled me into a hug. We kissed each other on the lips before I went in search of my friends. It didn't take me long to find them, because they were all outside underneath the tree next to the black lake. I mentioned the fact that Sirius told me I'd be staying at the burrow over the summer. The Weasley family seemed excited. "Lucky for you. I have to stay with my aunt Petunia and uncle Vernon." Harry said in a sad sounding tone. "At least you don't have to stay with my family." Draco said. "Look, we must schedule some time where we all can be together." Hermione said, and the rest of us agreed. "I'll ask mum if we can convince everyone's parents to let them stay at the burrow." Ginny said. After we talked for a while we just sat in silence as we enjoyed the beautiful weather. A few students were swimming with the giant squid. And others were sitting underneath trees like us, or playing games. For once my life felt complete. This time I was definitely looking forward to summer even if meant I wasn't going to see Hogwarts again for a very long time.
