HOST: hello and welcome again to another episode of Simon Says, where absolutely nothing is graphic!
on our previous episode we faced a very terrible loss for NCT DREAM, the death of Na Jaemin. if only the kid held on a bit tighter.. maybe then..
anyway, let's recap several moments from the previous episode!
RENJUN: WHAT? NO! THAT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!
JENO: FUCK, I'M CRYING, HUG ME!
HOST: with the loss of Na Jaemin, NCT DREAM has five members left, leaving a total of 17 contestants in our survival show!
are you ready for this episode? hope you are!
the teams have not rested even if a bit for 24 hours and this challenge will be the challenge to determine it! now, this challenge won't be "dangerous", but it would rather help the physical state of the contestants if they complete it!
now let's take a look, shall we?
[the screen blackens once more, and ominous music comes out as light begins to brighten the scene. the three teams stand beside each other in three podiums, and they look around them in confusion.]
HOST: this challenge will require pure use of logic and quick wit! so please pick three representatives from each team!
TAEYONG: okay, guys who do you think should go?
NCT 127: ....
TAEYONG: oh, so you're all not talking to me now?
WINWIN: you killed him—
TAEYONG: in case it escaped your notice, it's a survival show. okay? why don't you just get over it and try to stay alive?
HAECHAN:... he's got a point.
TEN: fine, but i'm still not gonna be friendly with you.
TAEYONG: never asked.
YUTA: i think Sicheng should be one of them.
WINWIN: um...
YUTA: you're smart! you read the whole english manual for us when we didn't even know english to begin with..
WINWIN: i guess...
TEN: [glaring daggers at Taeyong] i should go too.
HAECHAN: and so will i.
YUTA: okay, step forward!
HOST: so we have our first three contestants! WINWIN, HAECHAN AND TEN!
JISUNG: i don't want to— Mark, you go.
MARK: oh come on, it's not that hard! this just requires minimum logical thinking—
JENO: did you just call us un-logical?
MARK: I NEVER SAID THAT!
RENJUN: fine, Mark, Jeno, and Jisung. You go. End of discussion.
JISUNG: really? but—but—you have the only brain cell among us—
RENJUN: end. of. discussion.
JOHNNY: i'll go, who's with me?
KUN: i guess i will?
TAEIL: Jaehyun, you go too.
JAEHYUN: fine.
[each representatives stand on the assigned podiums. the host stands in front of them with a smug grin. Taeyong folds his arms over his chest and observes quietly while cursing Ten under his breath.]
HOST: in front of each team is a glass box! now can one of each team step into the box?
[the teams hesitate. WINWIN gulps and steps into the box, and it closes right after, making him jump in shock. Kun does too, and so does Mark. they all look at the host for instructions, but the three people inside the box can't hear anything.]
HOST: in front of each team is a set of logic questions arranged from easy to hard. you have thirty minutes to solve all of them, or else...
[the host points towards the three boxes, and the three inside them jump and look up as water started to drop and really slowly fill the box that they were in. Kun tense and gulps, shaking his head and looking down at his feet, muttering prayers.]
HOST: the twist is, you have to answer all of them correctly! each wrong answer will speed up the water flow, and will suffocate your partners— the boxes won't break of course, the water is made to fill the box until the very top!
[WINWIN regrets immediately stepping into the box and Mark begins to hyperventilate.]
HOST: now.. on your marks... get set... SIMON SAYS GO!
