HOST SUHO: i'm not even sorry. we're back after Mark struggled a bit. but now he's.. still struggling. however, we decided to take initiative and switch 'im, by taking Jeno instead.

[Jeno was standing beside Taeil and Ten now in the same uniform, looking as blank as they are.]

JUNGWOO: extremely

DOYOUNG: yeah. coulda' died out of boredom if it weren't for this.

HOST SUHO: oh and by the way, can you bring out the cage, please?

MARK: [eyes wide] cage? i mean, i know i struggled that much— I'M NOT AN ANIMAL! PLEASE—

HOST SUHO: it's not for you, kid..

WINWIN: [watches as the cage was brought out] wait what the—

YUTA: FINALLY, LIGHT— wait, does that mean I'm dead?

JAEMIN: you're not, silly. i told you that befo—

WINWIN: [tearing up] oh my god—

MARK: Jaemin?

[at Mark calling Jaemin's name, Jeno's eyes seemed to move a little towards him before Hendery stood in front of him and glared at him. he returned to look up front again.

meanwhile WINWIN was struggling not to hyperventilate.]

WINWIN: b—but how—

JUNGWOO: oh my god.. but.. but you guys died like.. right in front of us—

HOST SUHO: nope. our crew managed to catch Jaemin before he fell, and Yuta was hurried towards intensive care. we just wanted more drama.

DOYOUNG: but what about the others? Chenle— Jisung, Jaehyun.. Lucas?

HOST SUHO: yeah those guys died for real.

JAEMIN: wait, who died and when?

MARK: you missed a lot, my friend..

XIAOJUN: actually..

[everyone was now paying attention to Xiaojun, and Yuta and Jaemin glared at him. it seemed like they knew him.]

XIAOJUN: their deaths weren't really prepared, per se. we were actually planning to make Renjun fall from the tightrope challenge, and make WINWIN get caught in the avalanche. but well, you two getting caught in these situations was equally dramatic, right, Taeyong?

DOYOUNG: okay, now that's harsh, Tae

HENDERY: yes! he was the one who suggested taking out Sicheng. [smirks]

TAEYONG: i—

YUTA/WINWIN: what?

TAEYONG: look, i can explain—

YANGYANG: [wraps an arm around Taeyong's shoulder] no matter what he does, he almost always wrongs you guys. how can you stand him?

TAEYONG: get off me! [pushes Yangyang off, looks back at WINWIN, who's staring at him with shock] look, Sicheng, plea—

WINWIN: you wanted to kill me?

YUTA: you wanted to kill him?

TAEYONG: i—

WINWIN: i even knew you were forced to do those things, Taeyong, but i fucking trusted you!

YUTA: he trusted you!

WINWIN: shut up!

YUTA: okay!

[before any of them could speak again, Suho clapped his hands, calling for everyone's attention]

HOST SUHO: now, the reason we didn't really kill Jaemin or Yuta was because we need them for the rest of the show! as a prize!

JUNGWOO: uh..

MARK: isn't this a tad kinky?

DOYOUNG: how would you know? you're still going through puberty.

HOST SUHO: if NCT 2018 wins the next challenge, they would be able to free Jaemin and Yuta! but, if WayV wins the next two challenges —which they will— they will definitely kill Jaemin and Yuta right in front of all of you!

KUN: i fucking hate you.

HOST SUHO: feeling's mutual, kid.
