[holding on tight to the stool, Taeyong braced himself when the opposing teams started to throw the balls. he swallowed when Jisung took aim, and threw the ball.
it missed the target just by a few inches, making Taeyong exhale in relief.]
RENJUN: man.. i wish Chenle was here!
JENO: seriously, man! tears!
RENJUN: mood.
MARK: gimme that.. [he took the balls from the others and started aiming towards the target.] THAT'S FOR JAEMIN!
[Taeyong's eyes widened when the ball made contact with the target, making him swallow in nervousness as the stool dipped down suddenly, making him topple into the water.]
HOST: AND DREAM ARE IN THE LEAD, SCORING A DUNK SHOT ON TAEYONG!
HAECHAN: [high fives Mark] niiiiice!
JENO: my turn!
[Jeno takes a ball from Mark's arms and aims it at Taeyong's target, the latter climbing up the chair with slightly deep breaths.
Jeno missed the target, hitting the fatigued Taeyong's head instead. Taeyong's head jerks back, and he holds it in pain.]
TAEYONG: OW!
JENO: okay, yeah that was intended, to he honest.
[Jisung swallowed as he saw NCT U prepare for launch, and he held on tightly to the stool.]
JUNGWOO: let me take aim! i got this!
KUN: [sighs] they always say that.
[Jungwoo aims the ball at the target and throws, hitting the point near the centre of the target, but it was enough to dunk Jisung into the water beneath him. NCT U cheered.]
KUN: i underestimated you, kid
LUCAS: my—
JUNGWOO: no, sweetie, you just hold the balls for us. wouldn't wanna break your sensitive wrists.
LUCAS: [realizes what Jungwoo means] oh yeah, right!
KUN: what was that about?
LUCAS/JUNGWOO: NOTHING!
[Johnny is in a visibly more relaxed posture than the rest of the contestants, because there are only two people who were trying to making him dive into the water beneath him.
WINWIN seemed tired and wary, which Johnny guessed was because of the whole Yuta incident. he shrugged it off when Doyoung grabbed a ball and threw.
the next thing Johnny knows, is that he's in a water tank, swimming up to the surface. he climbs up and settles again on the stool, already feeling bad about this.]
