14 Men and a Little Princess

Chapter 6

( hi my pumpkins. I need to apologise to all of you. I'm so very sorry I haven't written in awhile. I've had a major writers block / brain fart. I had an idea for the next chapter but no way of starting it. I got myself frustrated. I'm still so new to this and I know in time I'll get better with less brain farts lol. But I hope you can forgive me and don't give up on me. I hope you like this chapter. I know I'll get better in time just get frustrated with myself when I get stumped. I'm so sorry again and thank you for giving me a chance and reading my work. Your all so amazing thank you so much.)

Sangs POV: 🌹

I go into the pantry and searching for 1 onion, 2 can of diced tomatoes with chilies, 2 packets of taco seasoning, 2 can of chili beans, 2 can of corn, 2 can of pinto beans,  and 2 packets of ranch seasoning. I know the boys eat so much more than me I have to grab extra ingredients. The triplets can eat bout 3 bowls each. Andrew and Cole at least 2 bowls. I have no idea where they put it all. They all are so fit, but I know it's mostly because their time in the gym helps. I carry all the ingredients to the bar and walk to the fridge. "Hmm, now where is that hamburger meat?" Oh there it is right behind the milk. Oh good we have cheese and sour cream. Yay there's strawberries for the chocolate cake too. Okay focus Sang regular food now then chocolate. I can't help but giggle at myself I love my chocolate. I grab the hamburger meat leaving the rest till later. After placing the hamburger meat on the counter by the stove I go looking through the cupboards for a frying pan. I empty the meat into the pan to start cooking it. I totally forgot to grab a fork to stir the meat while it's cooking. While searching through the drawers I feel the air shift and the smell of cinnamon. " Hey Andrew how are the others? Did the triplets have fun at the park? Oh, can you start chopping the onion for me?" I ask while still searching for a fork. " I still don't know how you do that. I wasn't making to much noise. Yeah, they are good Liam has pictures for you to see of the park and they want to take you there. They walked around and mostly played football. Cole is working on a project for Corey. He's getting so smart. I'm so glad Brandon asked his brother to mentor Cole and teach him more bout computers." I can can hear Andrew searching for a knife and plate to chop the onion up. Once he found everything he goes over to the counter where the other ingredients are. I hear the meat sizzling on the stove. I begin stirring the meat. "The triplets told me about two guys came up to them at the park. They are students that will be going to Ashley Waters with all of you. They asked if the boys were going try and be on the football team", Andrew said while concentrating on his work. " What did the trips say are they going to try out." Be honest I hope they do try out. They do everything they can to take care of me and make sure I'm safe. They never do something they truly want to do because all my brothers worry bout me. Even if one of them try out it would be so much fun to watch them play and give my support for them. Andrew turns and says "Yeah, Liam and Jeramie wants to try out. But, Scotty wants to wait for baseball season. They are worried that dad won't let them because it's so expensive. Also they don't want to burden me down since I take care of everything else dad or mom doesn't do. I told them we can talk to Dad together and I'll help with a little bit. I think it's a great idea for them to get use to the new school and make friends to. They need it for their last year in school. I think it's a great idea for them." I look over at Andrew and he goes back to chopping. I go searching for a bowl and strainer to get the grease out of the hamburger meat. I place the the bowl into the kitchen sink with the strainer on top. The meat is done cooking and walk it towards the sink to pour into the strainer. While that's straining I search in the cupboards for a big soup pot with a lid. The stove is still on but I wait until I'm ready for the rest of the ingredients. I turn to Andrew looking down at my hands and say, " I think it's great idea to. They need that bonding time to make new friends. They need to enjoy their Senior year. I feel so bad because they always having to look after me in school and here at home. They hardly get to go out or do what they want to do. That includes you to bubba you are always looking after us and do everything to take care of us when our own parents won't. I know y'all worry bout me being here alone with mother and Marie, but I feel like I'm being a burden on all of you. Where you always have to protect me and keep me away from them. Even though she still finds way in hurting me. I'm thankful and happy y'all are here for me and I know it won't last forever here. We all will get to be free and safe with a new home together.  I don't know what I would have done if you wasnt here to protect me and loving me. But that shouldn't stop y'all from having some fun and living a little bit with out me being a burden on you." I hear Andrew walking towards me. He circles his arms around me and I place my head onto his shoulder.  "Sang that's the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. Baby girl you have never once been a burden on us. We love you so much. We never want you hurt and we know if anything happens to you it will kill us. The boys and I don't know why mother and Marie do everything they can to hurt you. Dad never does anything to protect you from them. But you know we will that's our job as your big brothers. I know the others feel the same way. Baby girl you are the greatest thing that has came to us in this hell hole. We are going to get out of here together and you will get to live freely along with the rest of us. You deserve to have fun to and not constantly looking over you shoulder. It's going to get better. We just have to stand together and be strong. Also the boys and I want to do everything we can to protect you from being hurt no matter from here at home to the outside world. Your our baby sister we will fight anyone that will harm you. Besides you get to go with us to watch the games and get to cheer Liam and Jeramie on. Scotty and I will be right beside you. Like I said you deserve to have fun too. If there's anything you can think of you want to do let us know okay. I know you worry bout us to same as we worry bout you. Together we will get through this big brothers are supposed to be there for their baby sisters. Now get those silly notions out of your head. You Sang Amelia Sorenson will never ever be a burden on the boys or me ever. Got that baby girl?" All I could do is move my head up and down and squeeze Andrew tighter hug. My heart felt lot better after he said that. I'll always worry I can't help it but like he said together we will get through this. We will have a new home and be safe to be ourselves to. " Thank you so much bubba," I say to him. I turn to grab the meat while Andrew gather the chopped onion and open the cans of ingredients. I place the meat back into the frying pan just to stir in the taco seasoning before placing it into the soup pot. I gather the water and Andrew pores the other ingredients into the pot. I grab a big wooden spoon to stir the ingredients. We can watch for it to boil while making the cake. Andrew looks for the 9 x 13 cake pan in the bottom cuboards. I grab the eggs, buttermilk, sugar, all purpose flour, unsweetened Coco powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, oil, vanilla extract and the water. Everything is placed on the counter then I go for a measuring bowl and measuring cup. Andrew walks up toe with the cake pan to grease and flour the pan. I begin mixing the sugar, flour, Coco, soda, baking powder, salt together. Next I blend in the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla extract. The last thing is the water. While I'm mixing  the ingredients Andrew checks the soup and washes the strawberries. He knows I love strawberries almost as much as my chocolate. I reach across.the bar for the cake pan to pour the batter in. The oven is preheated for 350 when Andrew went to check on the soup. I grab the cheaters way of chocolate frosting which is still so amazing and the floss. I found this trick on line after the cake is cooled down a little bit not all the way. You can take the dental floss and cut your cake into layers to separate them to place frosting in between. I hear the oven beeping. Time to put the cake in for 30 min. Andrew already has 2 plates, 2 knives and a giant bowl on the bar for us to slice the strawberries. While I start slicing my strawberries I begin to hum my favorite song Winter by Vivaldi.

( I never hear it before until.i wrote this and it's lovely the part she is is humming is 3:36 into the video the other part probably be used somewhere else but I wanted a slow rythem for this scene.)

I love this song ever since Andrew found it to help me fall asleep when I was younger. The nightmares were horrible back then. They still are but my brother's helped me and when ever I had a bad night Andrew would play me Winter on his CD player. Now he keeps it on his phone for me to listen to since mother broke his CD player 2 years ago when I borrowed it. She woke up from her nap and came into my room threw the CD player out the window and beat me for waking her up. The boys were so worried bout me but I was more upset bout Andrews CD player getting broken. I couldn't stop apologizing to him. They all stayed with me that night. When ever I need it after a terrible nightmare. He would plug his head phones into his phone then the buds into my ears. Bubba then holds me until I fall asleep again.  I'm so caught up with my memories and song I didn't realize I stopped slicing the strawberries until Andrew spins me around. He places my hand on his shoulder and one of his on my waist. He places his phone out and plays Winter for us. We join our hands and he begins spinning me around. I always wanted to dance like a princess in the Disney movies. The boys would watch with me and call me their little princess when growing up. They knew how much I love dancing and how happy it makes me. They know one day I will have my own prince charming to dance with me like in the movies. But they are happy to fill the role until that time comes. I'll always love these moments with them. It reminds me when a daughter and father have their special dances together. I never got that with our dad. I got something so much better though 5 big brothers to dance the most girlie dances with me making me feel like a princess. The ending is close and Andrew spins me one last time but this time he lifts me into the air to spin me around. The song ends but we hear clapping coming from behind us. I look up while in the air and hold in a gasp while Andrew brings me down. Mother is in the door way clapping and smiling with a big chesire cat grin on her face. "Isn't this lovely. That was beautiful just beautiful dance you two. I never knew you could dance Sang. You will have to tell me how you learned how to move so wonderfully." Mother slowly moves towards us and we watch her every move. We are afraid to move a muscle just in case she snaps. She always hated me having joy and fun. She just caught us in one of my happiest moments I get with my brothers. She continues to gaze at me for an answer to her question. A throat is cleared beside me the sound breaking mother's gaze on me.  "Mother I taught her how.  She wanted to learn and I taught her. When I was in gym class back in school and they were teaching us. I came home and taught Sang to dance with me to get better and her to learn how to dance too." Mother just looks at Andrew and then smiles " Oh my sweet baby boy. That was so sweet of you to teach your sister to dance. Even though she will have no use for it and no one will ever want to dance with someone like her. It was very sweet of you to still think of your sister and make her feel special. I remember you got an A in the class for the dancing part of the class. At least Sang was useful for something. So it all paid off in the end." She walks over to Andrew and pats his cheek " Such a sweet sweet boy." Andrew is furious specially what mother said bout me but keeps it cool and calm. He doesn't want mother to turn her wrath onto me. She then turns to me and says, " Sang, Marie needs you to put away her clothes go and organize everything and put them into their proper place." I just nod my head an say " yes ma'am." I slowly make my way around the counter and Andrew. But I stop when mother grips my arm tightly. I know a bruise will be there tomorrow. "Also Sang when you get done there come to my room and put away my things to." I just nod my head and she releases me to leave. I walk out and lean on the wall to catch my breath. I rub my arm because it's a little sore now. After taking a deep breath and begin walking up to Marie's room to organize her clothes. I know Andrew can finish dinner and dessert for me until I can come back.
