The Start
Emma and Kendall were sitting in the basement of their home, in their shorts, avoiding the scorching heat of the summer sun. They both were on their phones when they heard scratching at the basement door. They looked at each other in confusing.
"I'll see what it is." Emma says as she stands up.
She walks over to the door, unlocks it, and slowly opened the door. Much to her surprise it was a happy looking golden retriever. Kendall quickly stood up and walked over.
"Oh man! We should keep her." Emma announced.
"I guess overnight, she might have an owner." Kendall said in response.
They let the dog in and shut the door, forgetting to lock it. It was night time so they laid down on the couch they slept and hung out on and went to sleep.
