I Need You

It's almost Christmas time now, so we don't have any concerts for a few weeks. We are in Seoul now and it is about 9:00am.

"Are you excited to go home for Christmas Jade?" asks V while we are on the way to the house.

"Yeah I'm really excited. I can't wait to see my mom."

"Yeah we all are going to see our families, too," says RapMon.

"I'm really excited for my mom's cooking!" yells Jin.

Everyone laughs.

When we get to the house, we all go in and I begin to pack my stuff. I am leaving tomorrow to go home because we have 4 weeks off, so I want to spend as much of it as I can with my mom. The guys aren't leaving to go to their homes until next week, so they don't have to pack quite yet.

I pack up all my things and decide I need to go shopping.

"I'm going shopping," I tell all the guys. They are all sitting in the living room watching a game on TV.

"Alone?" says Jungkook.

I nod my head and go to grab a pair of keys from the bowl on the counter.

"Let me go with you," says Jungkook.

"You don't have to," I say not wanting him to miss the game, and also not wanting it to awkward between us.

"I don't want you going alone," he says being persistent.

"Ok," I say. He grabs the keys from my hands and walks out the door. I wave to the guys and close the door behind me.

He opens the door for me to get in and he walks to the drivers side and gets in. We drive to the mall in mostly silence. He turns on the music to break the silence a little.

After a few minutes, I turn down the volume and say, "So, are you excited to go home to your family?"

"Yeah, are you?"

"Yeah I'm really excited to see my mom and Kim and stuff."

The car goes back to silence again.

"Ok, Jungkook, what's up like why are you not talking to me?"

"I am talking to you, for example, right now," he says.

"No, I mean why do I have to start the conversations or why do you keep being short with me?"

"I'm not."

"Oh my gosh yes you are. Right there just now you were. So tell me why!" I am starting to get a little angry. I know that ever since we broke up things have been awkward, but for a little while he seemed to care for me and stuff again and I thought maybe things wouldn't be awkward.

"Jade, it's nothing ok? Just let it be."

"Fine," I say turning away from him.

In the window reflection, I can see him look over at me and look down and back at the road.

When we get to the mall, he comes and opens the door for me and we walk towards the mall entrance.

We are both wearing clothes that cover our faces and stuff so we are hoping we don't get recognized, but we do.

From the distance, we hear someone scream and say, "Oh my gosh it's Jungkook and Jade!"

We both look at each other and continue to walk with our heads down. Within a few minutes, a swarm of girls have come at us and are begging us for autographs and people are taking multiple pictures of us.

I feel Jungkook slide his hand behind my back and we begin to walk towards one of the shops that has gestured us to come towards them and they will close the door.

Thank goodness the shop we are in is the one I was looking for. It's a store that has a lot of oriental things my mom likes.

"Thank you so much!" I say.

Jungkook says, "고맙습니다 (gomabseubnida)(Thank you)."

The woman in the store nods and asks us if we need any help finding anything and we just say that we are just looking.

For a little while, we are looking around the store and I find a few things for my mom.  We want to go to the next store, so we begin to walk towards the door, but there are still so many fans outside the store.  The door is class, so when they see us, they all begin to scream again.

We open the door and I go out first, and then Jungkook.   Again, he places one of his arms around the small of my back and the other arm is beside him in front to guard us from the fans. 

We get to the next store and we enter and the manager closes the door and locks it behind us.

In this store, I find some things for Kim and a thing for myself. 

It is now about 4:30pm and we have been at this mall for about 2 hours.  I found some things for the guys here, too, and I managed to buy them without Jungkook seeing.  We are so done shopping, but it ill be impossible to get out of here.

There are still a bunch of girls standing outside the store door waiting for us to get out. 

"Are you ready to go?" Jungkook says to me.

I nod and we begin to make our way to the door.  The manager unlocks the door and we walk out the store.  This time, Jungkook walks in front of me and I have hold of the bottom of his shirt.  His hand is on my hand that is on his shirt to secure I won't get taken again.

We make our way to the parking garage and he opens the door for me and then walks around to the drivers side and gets in.

It is taking us about 30 minutes to just get out of the parking lot because all the fans are around the car and we obviously don't want to run them over. 

We finally make it out of the parking lot and we skrt away as fast as we can.

Back at the house, we get out and I grab my bags of stuff and go straight to my room.  I wrap all the presents I bought for the guys, Kim, and my mom, and then I head to the living room where the rest of the guys are.

I turn on the TV and go to the kpop gossip channel.

The screen lights up with the words "NEWS!" in big bold glowing letters.

The the TV girl comes on the screen and begins to say, "Spotted, today at Hamilton Shopping Center, Jungkook and Jade Storm. Jungkook is said to have been seen with his arm around her back and they were supposedly holding hands. Have our power couple reunited?"

As she was speaking, images of Jungkook and I at the mall flashed on the screen. A few were of his arm around my waist and one was directly at my hand on his shirt and his hand on mine.

"Is that really the top story?" asks Jungkook as he walks closer.

"I guess so," I say as I turn the TV off.

I can't believe that that story is the top story. Like it's honestly insane. We only left the mall, what about an hour or so ago?

These gossip people are crazy.
