KIMBERLY TRIED not to burst out laughing right then and there but her friends were quite the comedians

diana fisher and trayvon howard facetimed her during third period while they were having lunch, florida was an hour ahead of iowa so kimberly had lunch the previous period

she sat in the back of her math class where nobody but the smartass kids up front were paying attention to the math teacher while everyone else was either drawing, sleeping, talking or on their phones

she still felt the need to be quiet out of respect for the ones who were listening

but her friends were making it way too hard.

"i told this bitch 'just lemme have a piece of your pizza' and this hoe was like, 'uh, i don't want your mouth on my pizza!' and i was like, 'white girl i don't want your gonorrhea, i just wanted to rip off a piece!'" diana practically screamed on the phone, thank god for earpieces, kimberly thought.

trayvon looked at diana like she was stupid, "di, that's not how the clap spreads" trayvon rolls his eyes, "stoopid." diana glared at him.

"do you want me to go latin up in this bitch and hit you with my shoe trayvon?" diana asked calmly, "do you?" kimberly sniggered.

"why do you still call it the clap?" kimberly whispered before she shrugged  "just say gonorrhea"

"nah the clap sounds way funnier, babe." kimberly and diana both roll their eyes,

"i'm not your girlfriend,"
"she's not your girlfriend!" they said in union.

"i didn't say she was my girlfriend! okay, i said babe, see? difference," trayvon smiled, putting diana's phone up in his face before diana snatched it away from him.

"tray i could see your boogers and everything, what a beautiful sight." kimberly sarcastically commented before trayvon put the middle finger up as he ate his school food.

"so how's the sunshine state kim?" kimberly paused before looking up around her classroom of 31 kids

the room was crowded
desks were unmanaged and disorganized
everyone was talking shade and spreading tea
females kept screaming PERIODT
and it was somewhat cold outside—

yet the bright ass sun was out.

"florida's....interesting," kimberly summed up, looking back down at her phone, "definitely hyper and popular, it's hot and cold outside, and everyone's really loud and flashy, also there's a lot of drama and events down here."

diana frowned. "that sounds like so much fun,"

trayvon smiles. "that sounds like the opposite of iowa" he shoves another pizza roll into his mouth as diana then asked "but how are you doing yourself, kim?"

kim's thoughts instantly went to the disappearing, pervert boy that may or may not be a figment of her imagination; nonetheless she brought it up

"i think florida's making me crazy and i've only been here for a week and a half," kim sighs "i think i'm seeing things."

diana snorts before sipping her lemonade, trayvon laughed in denial, "things like what?"

"there's a cute boy who hides in my bedroom."

trayvon instantly hardened, making diana almost spit out her lemonade. "ah kim did you see tray's face?! this dude almost had a whole heart attack!" diana started snickering loudly, "you made him drop his pizza rolls!"

"some dude broke into your house and you think that's cute? you're fucking weird kim." trayvon didn't even try to hide the jealously in his light brown eyes.

diana smirks at trayvon, "don't get so aggy, vonnie. i think it's romantic!" trayvon gave diana a side eye before rolling his eyes

di was the master at being annoying.

kimberly shook her head looking down "it's not like he's real; no human appears and disappears like that"

diana and trayvon both look at the camera, looking like they just heard the most craziest thing

"wait so this boy isn't real?"

kim bit her lip and shrugged "i don't think he is" kim shivered at the thought of him being as close as he was to her yesterday "i don't wanna talk about it"

"whatever we gotta split anyway" trayvon said looking down at his phone to check the time as diana frowned, "aw damn you right" diana looked at the camera sadly "bye kim it was nice talking to you since forever"

"we text everyday!" kim giggled

"that's not the same as talking," trayvon still obviously looked annoyed and kim didn't want to deal with his drama so she said her goodbyes and hung up the call

kim grabbed a pen and started to write down the notes on the board before her phone flashed; signaling a notification

she picked it up quickly and read the text over and over again; until it burned into her mind—

MESSAGES !

DI😍🥰😊💫
idk if this boy real or not but-
don't fall in love with the things that never stay

and as much as she kept rereading diana's text,

the burn wasn't enough.
