LEO STILL remembered it all quite vividly

when kim wasn't there to distract him with her celestial being, he often found himself trapped in his own memories

he drove to the park where him, charlie, reese and zeke used to hang and play ball. the four of them often got into trouble in and out of school; sometimes purposely and then not so purposely

charlie, reese and zeke were black and leo was and still is proud to call them the smartest guys he ever knew, they were best friends and loyal to each other. leo had seen great injustices everyday like whenever he and his friends were at a store and the owner was following them suspiciously, or when they'd just be driving and the same asshole cop pulled them over almost every day with a smirk on his face, just waiting patiently for the day that charlie, who usually drove the group places, didn't have his driver's license, but the day never came—leo noticed all the signs and spoke up about it every time

"y'all just gonna let them be racist?"

charlie purses his lips before saying, "we ain't gotta stress over them. plus if we act out, they'll call five-o."

zeke sucks his teeth before taking a sip of red bull, "i wish one of 'em would! pussy ass niggas," zeke takes another sip before passing the can to leo

reese puts his arm around leo and pats him in support, "yeah but thanks for worryin' nigga, shouts out to ya."

leo nods, taking a big gulp of the bull before handing it to charlie.

zeke smiles as they reach the park, "ight nuff of that bullshit; lets ball, y'all!"

charlie finishes the can and throws it out before they all race for the court.

leo smiles at the memory

he leans the seat back and sits in the car, putting on the radio as he waited for time to pass; he had shut his eyes while humming to a biggie song before all the bad thoughts hit him suddenly

"you had sex with my daughter without her consent?"

his head starts pounding, he holds both sides of his head and braces himself as the memory of that day floods in,

it was the day of kimberly's dance ~

he was watching her earnestly from a distance, he had been hiding away from her all day and it was practically killing him, she looked like a goddess

but he had to wait. again.

when kim's friends pick her up he walks through the wall and into the kitchen where kimberly's mother was on the phone while checking the pipe, "...yeah, that's my address. thank you sir, sorry for the urgency." noel hung up the phone before hurrying upstairs to get a shirt to hold the water with

leo grabs a knife from the drawer and observes it as he waits, his dead heart was pounding so fast that it rang in his ears

he had to make things right again.

when the doorbell finally rings, leo snaps out of his own thoughts and runs into the pantry to hide; noel dashes downstairs "hol' up i'm goin'!" she opens the door and looks up at the man he's to kill, leo glares at him from the pantry door's shutter and grips the knife harder "this muhafucka's gotta go.."

winchester finished the job less than an hour later; so when noel went away to grab the cash, leo stepped out the pantry and faced his killer, who was bent behind the kitchen counter going over his work. he took slow steps as he tried to control and silence his breathing

calm down

leo stopped himself when he was right beside winchester, who had finally noticed him and flinched away in shock "what the hell—!"

he didn't hesitate

the knife entered winchester's spine and had the older man on his knees in seconds

leo fell to his knees too

it felt like someone had reached through his chest to squeeze life into his heart; 22 years

enlightenment,

thats how it felt to finally be alive.

leo rises when he's strong again and grabs hold of winchester's body, his breathing was slowing down and his eyes began to grow heavy. leo was careful not to pull out the knife so blood wouldn't splatter everywhere; he drags the body out the house and pulls the truck keys out of mr. winchester's pocket before opening the car door and pushing the body in the backseat,

leo extracts the knife out, blood spills and winchester winces

before leo can shut the door, mr. winchester wheezes out to speak, "i deserve this.."

leo's jaw tightens, hand on the car door "i know." he goes to close the door again but winchester weakly grabs hold of his shirt to pull him closer, he wheezes again "god is going to send me to hell."

leo shoves winchester's arm off him and glares into his killer's eyes, blue meeting blue

he laughs heartlessly in the dying man's face

"yeah, god doesn't tend to let unjustifiable killers in, does he?" winchester shakes his head as if leo didn't seem to understand

"no...he doesn't...tend to let in...men who are in love with other men"

the world feels like its stopped rotating on its axis

"i loved you, leo. i still do."

"i tried to conceal it when you were my student, but i couldn't stop staring at you. it hurt me to kill you, took every bone in my body....i knew cici lied about you raping her, she told me because she felt guilty after your funeral...but i was in love with you; and thats a sin, do you understand?"

leo couldn't form words

winchester was crying now, "it-it's a sin and god wouldn't accept me so i had to get rid of the source..."

winchester reaches out his hand, it lightly caresses leo's chest until it hurts him, he winces as his arm falls—death was taking ahold of his wings

"but you can't blame me for loving you leo;" one last deep breath for one last confession,

"you were such a pretty boy."

then he was wingless.
