Dylan's View

My body still sores after what happened last night. I can't believe she made me jump off the fence. Now, I have more bumps in my head than I can imagine.

I ignored it and I went back to the hallway on my way to my next class; biology.

On my way, I saw Charlie getting books from her locker and I smile then I run towards her.

"Hey, cupcake."

I leaned over the locker as she closed hers, giving me deadpan afterwards.

"What?" She ask disinterested, and I frown.

"Aren't you going to tell me something after last night?"
"Don't act as if I molested you, I just made you jump off the fence, no biggie."

She shrug and I open my mouth, surprise, and she walked pass me. I groan and I catch up on her, walking beside her as I put my hand inside my pocket.

"Not even sorry about it? Geez."
"Oh yeah, I'm sorry I made you jump off the fence."

She said dryly and I pout looking away.

How can I ever make her like me?

As we walk, I saw familiar guy talking with a blonde girl, looking all pretty and confident.

I know I've seen him before.

My eyes widen when I remember that that guy is Matthew. The one in the locker room. And I look down to Charlie to see her  busy texting someone on her phone. Then I'll look back to the guy, realizing that we are few meters away from them.

I groan as my subconscious hit me again.

I hate you.

I told my subconscious and Charlie look up to me, then I realized I said it out loud.

"What?"

I grabbed her shoulders and turned her towards the opposite direction and she got surprise and confused.

"Where are you taking me?"
"Let's go to class together!"
"But this is the right way."

She almost saw Matthew but luckily, thanks to my height, I blocked the scene so she didn't even get a glimpse. I sheepishly smile and she narrow her eyes on me.

"Are you okay? Did you hit your head when you jump off yesterday? You're acting weird."
" I guess so. Can you accompany me to the clinic? I'm a little dizzy."

I lie as I scratch the back of my head, awkwardly smiling. She nodded confused, and she lead the way.

I smile and nod following her. I look back to Matthew and saw them dry humping each other. I clench my fist and I continue walking.

...

I took a shot for the 50th time and do it went inside the ring. After that, I heard girls from the balcony cheer for me but I ignored them. I got tired all of a sudden.

"Is everything alright?"

Shane ask, dribbling beside me. He pose and then let go of the ball. He smirk after getting a shot from outside, and he lift the ball, then walk towards me.

"Nothing, I'm just tired."
"That's odd, you never got tired of practice. Especially when those girls are around."

He look at the girls who's still screaming for me in the balcony, and I do too. I gave them a wry look, then I shake my head.

This is getting no fun.

"I don't know. Maybe, I'm not in a mood to play."
"Hmm."

He hummed, then gave that creepy serious look for a while. I frown, because he never look at me in such a way.

"Hey boys! Gather up here!"

Coach Tyson call out, waving his hand and we run towards him. The team line up, and his old grumpy eyes scan us, then nodded.

"Very well then, I have an announcement to make. We're adding up new members for the team this season, due to the final exams. Your seniors decided not to play but rather focus on the exams. To cut it short, we don't have enough members. I figured the problem, and take action, I decided to put a try out for who ever is willing for the past week, and luckily, I found some guys."

He paused and the team stay silent.

"A try out?" Alec mumbles, and I saw Jon nod.
"Yes, Coach has been throwing out try outs this week, and I guess his going pick members now."

Jon informs and we both nod, listening back to Coach Tyson.

"So well then guys. Come in boys!"

Coach yelled and number of boys starts walking out from the lockers. My jaw gets numbs, and my hand turn to fist when I watch Matthew walking with a confident smile. And I look down controlling myself.

Well, it made sense now. I was trying to figure out why he is in the lockers with Charlie. He has access since his a trainee, its clear now.

"Hey Dylan, are you ok?" Jon ask, but I just nod.

They lined up in front of us, and unfortunately, he is in front of me. I furrow when I see that grin on his face, and my nerve just tighten. This is making me all pissed, and I don't like it. I'm irritated.

"There will be a game try out. They will be competing against you, and who ever shine the brightest from these trainees get a shot in the team. Understood?"

Coach yelled and everyone answered yes except me.

"And reminder varsities, don't go easy on 'em."

Coach finishes and I just simply smirk, and laugh  evilishly inside. I look back at Matthew with a glare, and he frowns.

Oh I won't Coach, I won't.

We prepare for the games, warming up and the trainees does too, on the other side of the court. It's just a moment before the game, and I cannot take my eye off my opponent.

"Dude, I didn't know your gay."

Alec jokes noticing me watching Matthew. I shake my head, and I see the three of them walk towards me, looking at the same direction I'm looking.

"

You like that guy?"

Alec ask pointing Matthew with his head, and I grin looking at them.

"Can you give me that guy? I wanna play with him."

I said competitively and the Alec and Jon nods, but Shane look at me with that eyes again. I just ignored him and focus on my target.

And the game starts, after Coach Tyson blow the whistle.
