Trigger warnings: Sexual slurs, family issues, attempted murder, over drinking, blatant homophobia... as you can tell this is a lovely family trip :)

The king family had survived the flight, thankfully without a panic attack, although Samuel felt extremely guilty for falling asleep on the flight. George had assured his husband that, in fact, Charlotte had served rather well in his absence.

As if George hadn't had enough anxiety from the plane trip, added to that was the anxiety from meeting his parents. His mother was loving, of course. He'd always been a mama's boy, although he didn't show it. But his relationship with his father had never been the best, especially after he came out. His father didn't even show up to the wedding, which George was half thankful for. He would have caused a scene, most likely objecting after their vows. Samuel hadn't ever met his father, and there was a reason for that. George was already feeling like this was a mistake, and with every second he wanted to turn back and go home. Samuel checked the tag on his suitcase and glanced at George, seeing the anxious look on his husbands face. He smiled and grabbed his husbands hand.

"Hey, it's gonna be fine Georgie." He said quietly, pecking George's cheek gently. George smiled and sighed, letting his shoulders relax.

"HEY F*GGOTS!" A heavily accented voice came from behind them. Samuel whipped around, flames of anger appearing in his eyes. George sighed and tried to lead him away.

"WHO THE FUCK SAID THAT?! SAY IT TO MY FACE ASSHOLE!" He shouted.

"Just be quiet, darling." George whispered, covering Charlotte's ears. The dark-haired girl giggled at her father's language. She was at the age where any sort of dirty language seemed to make her laugh. "Don't let him get to you."

Michael king stepped out from the shocked crowd, grinning. He wore a black suit, not too different from the one George wore to work, which sort of disgusted him. The man's hair was graying, but otherwise it was jet-black. He had a stocky build, and a woman stood next to him, looking embarrassed. She was about four inches taller than him, maybe from her heels, with white-blonde hair, striking blue eyes that George obviously inherited.

"See you two haven't divorced yet" he scoffed. Samuel rolled his eyes and scooped Charlotte up, cradling her on his hip. She stuck her tongue out at her apparent grandfather.

"See you got another DUI." Samuel shot back. George stifled a laugh at the insult.

"What gave it away?" Michael King said with a smirk. Samuel rolled his eyes and tugged the suitcase behind him, George following closely with the duffel bags. George's mother hugged them both tightly, scooping Charlotte up and swinging her around.

"Oh my goodness! You're just beautiful!" she exclaimed. Charlotte giggled and squeezed back.

"Grazi." George's mother laughed and hugged her granddaughter tighter.

"Oh! And your little accent!" she squealed. Samuel smiles at her excitement.

"At least one of your parents are excited to see us."

George's mother sighed. "I'm sorry, Michael--George's father, he's not in a welcoming mood..."

"I just don't wanna let two f*gs in my house! Who let them adopt a child?" Michael scoffed

"Watch it King. I can take you down in less than ten seconds" Samuel growled, glaring. George sighed. While the threat could easily be followed through, he didn't particularly want his husband and father fighting on the floor of an airport. Charlotte and George's mother exchanged a worried glance.
