As for the royals, Roland insisted they escape on a ship, but Hugo wasn't with them.

"Dad, I have to stay here," Sofia said.

"So do I—I have to make sure Hugo is okay," Axel insisted.

But Roland wasn't listening. "It's not safe for you here," he argued. He led Sofia and Axel on the boat. "Man the sail, Baileywick!"

"Yes, Your Majesty," Baileywick obeyed, following the king on the boat.

The ship was ready, and it took off into the sea.

"We can't just leave," Sofia frowned. "Vor wants to take over the kingdom."

"And what about my baby brother?" Axel joined in.

Suddenly, Hugo's voice rang out from Sofia's Enchantlet. "Sofia?"

"Hugo, what happened?" Sofia asked.

"Vor caught me when you were in the tower, and she locked me in the dungeon," Hugo revealed.

"Don't worry—as soon as we get back to the castle, we'll find a way to get you out," Sofia told him.

"First, I have to make sure you're all safe," Roland told her. "Our family is more important to me than anything."

"I know, Dad," Sofia nodded. "You'd do anything for us, but when you're in charge, the whole kingdom is your family."

Roland just looked at his stepdaughter, who began to sing.

They taught us to always be royal

But what do those words really mean?

When you're a prince or a princess

When you're a king or a queen

We have to look out for our family

But our family is bigger than this

It includes everyone in the kingdom

Every boy, girl, mister, and miss

I have to take a stand

Even if I'm the one who takes the fall

As Sofia continued the song, she climbed up a rope and stood on the clew part of the loom.

Being royal means being loyal

To those who count on us

For the kingdom, I must fight

For in me, they place their trust

For one and all

I'm standing tall

For one and all

"Sofia is right," Axel agreed. "As a future king, I owe it to my people to fight for them. Let's go back."

But Miranda and Roland still didn't want to go back.

"I know you mean well, but you're still young," Miranda told Axel.

"I promise I will gather my bravest men from across the land and go back once everyone is safe," Roland declared.

Sofia saw Minimus and Electra flying by, and she climbed up to the crow's nest as she kept singing.

Once you spoke of my destiny

Of all that I'm truly meant to be

Now it's finally clear to see

The path that lies ahead of me

"I'm sorry, but I have to do this," Sofia called down. "Let's go, Minimus!" She then jumped onto Minimus.

Electra flew down into the boat, allowing Axel to climb on. "I'm going with you," he said. He and Sofia flew back to the castle.

I must go back and join the fight

We all must go

CEDRIC: To save Enchancia

Tally ho!

That's when Roland changed his mind. "Baileywick, turn this boat around!" he ordered.

"Already turned, Your Majesty," Baileywick obeyed.

The boat was turning around. As Sofia and Axel flew back to the castle, they continued the song.

Sofia and Axel landed the horses by the castle.

Inside, Vor's Crystal Army faced her.

"My Crystal Legion, Enchancia is ours!" Vor announced. "Now the time has come to make the rest of the Ever Realm ours as well!"

The Crystal Army went off.
