I remember the day I heard the news. I mean, even the EXACT parts of the day. I had french toast for breakfast. But anyways, that's not important.

It was about 2:45 pm. I was sitting on my bed eating some mint chocolate chip ice cream and watching Rosanna Pansino. Mommy was downstairs vlogging. Paige was dropping Annie off at some 13-year-old hangout for famous people only. Sigh. I had wanted to go, but I am 10, and I couldn't. Mommy knocked on my door and went in my room.

"Ooh, look who's having the time of her LIFE," she teases and sits down next to me. I groan. Mommy points the camera towards my laptop and me. "Whatcha watching, Hay?" She asks. "Rosanna Pansino," I answer, not looking up. "Well, okay. I think Hay here is a little jealous that she didn't get to go with Paige and Annie." The last part she whispers into the camera. "I can HEAR you," I groan again. But by then she was out of the room.

It was at 2:57 when it happened. Mommy got a phone call. I tried to listen in, but I couldn't hear a thing.

I went downstairs and Mommy was sitting at the table, crying.

"Mommy!" I shouted. "What happened?"

"Y-your sister," she says, still sobbing. "She's dead."
