"BOOM!" I yelled, winning yet another 1v1 on overwatch against my best friend. I don't mean to brag, but I'm pretty good if I have to say so myself. "That last shot was just a lucky shot" Sasha says, practically screaming into the mic. "Yeah yeah, sure it was. I'm just a pro Ashe" I say, laughing.
Sasha and I have been inseparable ever since I randomly met her at this game shop I worked at, about 6 months ago. We don't even know each other for a year yet, but I feel like I've known her for years.
"Oh before I forget Max, you're a pretty good editor, right?" I log out of the game, and start to stretch my arms a bit. "I mean I'm pretty alright, why do you ask?" I just noticed the time, it's fucking 3 am already? Time flies by when you're gaming man.
"My brother and his friends need a good editor since they made a collaborative channel of their group, and he asked me if I know anyone."
I believe Sasha's brother is actually quite big on youtube, i heard her talk about him before. I've only watched a few videos of him though. But they sounded really fucking cool, so hell yeah I wanted to be their new editor, that would be awesome. I need to play this off cool though.
"How much would I get paid?" I ask. Maybe I even have the chance to talk with them on discord from time to time now? As I said, I've only watched some vids of them but I kinda like the idea of becoming friends with them.
"I mean depends on how good the vid does, you know? But I swear it's pretty good money." I start playing with my hair a bit, something I always do when I'm thinking. "Hmm I don't know Sas.." Even though I already know my answer. "Oh please do it? For meeee?" I chuckle a bit. "Sure, but only because it's you."
"YES! Okay so um you already said yes so you can't back out anymore, right?" I get a bit suspicious by that, like what is that supposed to mean? "I mean yeah I guess so, yeah" "Promise me you won't back out." I pause for a bit, and take a deep breath. "I promise." "Good, cus you'll have to live with them"
Excuse me. That wasn't mentioned. They're gonna hate me, and think I'm ugly. Oh god this is horrible, I shouldn't do this. "Omg Sasha there's no way I'm gonna do that" I start to panic
"Chill, you're gonna be fine. And you already promised." I did. I did promise. Oh no. This is going to be a disaster.. "Okay it's way too late and before I promise any other things I'm gonna regret, I'll say goodnight sir" "Goodnight Max, thanks for helping me out here. I owe you!" I close my pc and fall down on my bed. What have I just agreed on?
Not even 10 minutes later I hear my phone beep, I open it up to see a twitter notification
