Steve Rodgers, better known as Captain America, walks up to Tony Stark who is sitting on a barstool in the kitchen of Stark Tower.
"Tony, Fury is calling us in for a meeting."
"Is it that important or can I skip it like I skip all the others," Tony says as he sips on his coffee and reads the newspaper.
"This one's important, a S.H.I.E.L.D agent just got killed," Steve says as he leaves the room to tell the other Avengers that Fury needs them.
Stark sighs and puts down his newspaper. He gets up and heads to his room at the far end of the tower, to put something presentable on. He chooses a slim fit, classical suit, and sunglasses to top off the cool guy look.
Of course Stark is the last person to arrive at the meeting, making everyone else have to wait on him.
"Glad you could make it Stark." Fury announces in an annoyed tone.
"I'd rather be somewhere else." Stark sits in a chair next to Steve. All the Avengers turn and look at Fury for what is so important. Some paying more attention than others, Clint is looking up at the ceiling admiring the vents. Natasha is sitting next to him trying to pay attention. Wanda is sitting in Vision's lap and Banner is next to Tony. Thor couldn't make it but that's expected from the God. In between Steve and Vision is Bucky, sitting quietly and alert.
"Alright ladies listen up, an agent of ours, Agent Coulson, was killed yesterday and I need you all to find the killer."
"What's so special about this killer that you need all of us to take them down," Tony asks as he leans back in his chair.
"Because this killer is inhuman and working for HYDRA." Fury turns around to the large screen behind him and turns it on. Just the name HYDRA makes Bucky tense up. Steve leans over to him and whispers, "maybe you should wait out on this one." Bucky shakes his head, he tells himself he has to get over it someday, might as well work on it now. Steve nods and sits back up, realizing Bucky isn't going to leave. Up on the big screen is the surveillance footage of when the Huntsman broke in.
"He is very stealthy and willing to do anything to complete his mission, very similar to Barnes over there." Fury flips the screen over to a screenshot of a close-up of the Huntsman.
I've seen that before...
Bucky looks at the picture closely.
"He is extremely strong...." Fury begins to list off all the abilities that they know he has. He pulls up a few more pictures of sightings of him then turns the screen off.
"I want you all to find him and interrogate him to find out what he knows...... Banner you should probably sit this one out." Fury leaves the room. Banner nods in agreement and leaves the room too.
"Alright you all heard him, let's get to work," Steve announces as he stands up from his chair.
They all leave the room and grab their equipment and suits.
"Friday, any sightings of the Huntsman?" Tony asks the A.I in his suit.
"The Huntsman was last seen in a Network facility in downtown New York, sir," Friday replies back immediately.
"Thank you, Friday." Tony walks up to Natasha who is now flying the avengers private jet. He gives her the location of the Network facility so they can begin to head that way.
Bucky is looking at his medal arm and following the crevasses in the arm with his finger. Steve walks up to him slowly, not to startle him. "Are you alright?" Bucky looks up at Steve, "yeah, it's been a while since I have had to deal with HYDRA..." Steve puts a hand on Bucky's shoulder, "think about it as being able to beat their faces in. That should cheer you up." The corner of Bucky's lips turns up into a small smile. "Yeah... hey I was wondering do we know how old the Huntsman is?" Steve sat up straight and thought about that. "We don't know his exact age but he seems young, why do you ask?" Bucky shrugs his shoulders and looks back at his arm. "He just seems familiar for some reason."
The jet lands quietly a good bit away from the building. "Alright everyone, just like Fury said the Huntsman is very dangerous so I want everyone to be alert at all times. Remember our intentions are to capture him not kill. Let's go." Steve announces like a leader as Natasha lowers the tailgate.
Clint hangs back in a tree watching the building with his bow. Vision and Wanda are by his side as a backup. Tony, Steve, and Bucky enter the building. The inside is a disaster, almost like a tornado came through. There are papers all over the floor, desks flipped over, computer screens smashed, and claw marks on the wall.
"This looks like some kind of horror movie in here." Tony looks around. They walk past a couple of dead bodies, including the security guard with a slit across his throat.
In the distance, a crashing sound is heard making Tony, Steve, and Bucky stand in a battle stance. They inch their way closer to the sound. They make it to a closed-door where the sound is obviously coming from. "I'll open it on the count of three, Tony get ready." Steve whispers as he grabs the door handle. Tony readied his repulsor gun and aims at the door. Steve counts down then opens the door. Tony was expecting to see something but nothing was there. Bucky turns the corner and steps into the room. "There is nothing in......" before Bucky could finish he is kicked in the side and flown across the room. The Huntsman lands on the ground in a crouched position. Tony aims his guns at the Huntsman, "I'll give you one chance to surrender." The Huntsman tilts his head and charges at Tony. Tony fires at him blasting him backward. He gets up and throws his blade at Tony's gun, stopping it from working. Steve throws his shield at the Huntsman but he catches it and throws it back at him. He jumps off the wall towards Tony but Bucky comes in and tackles him out of the way. Bucky tries to hold him down but is flipped off. Tony and Steve rush over and hold him down. He struggles under their grasp. Bucky walks over and grabs his mask "let's see who this is." He pulls the mask off of his face and looks at him in shock. "It's just a kid," Tony says. "Peter...." Bucky looks at him. The Huntsman stops struggling and looks at Bucky when he says, Peter. He pulls his knees up and kicks both Tony and Steve off of him. He grabs his mask and punches Bucky in the face. He puts his mask back on and runs out. "Clint! He's heading your way." Tony yells through his com. "Copy," Clint replies back.
Steve looks at Bucky, "You ok?" Bucky nods at Steve. Tony looks at him also, "You recognized the kid didn't you." Bucky looks back at Tony. "Yeah."
