Y/n POV

I couldn't help but smile at him as he drank his coffee. Well more at the fact that he finished the entire cup in the five minutes it took to show me around the office.

"So what brought you to San Fran?" He asked curiously. I thought for a moment. He had a genuine look on his face. Like a little kid asking you why the sky's blue.

"I just wanted to get away from the people who knew the old me. I couldn't be myself around them and here, I could be an entirely different person," I smiled thinking about my new life here. And then I walked into an opening door. Gripping my nose I fell flat on my ass. "For fucks sake!" I looked up at the ass who had opened the door. He had a smug look on his face as he chuckled.

"Oops. Damn these interns are always so clumsy and clueless." This cunt was about to get kicked straight in the balls. I pulled my hand away from my nose as saw blood drip onto my new shirt. "Sorry doll but it looks like you're gonna have to go power your nose." That was it. I jumped up and gripped the collar of this bitch's shirt forcing him against the wall.

"No one. Calls me doll. Especially not assholes like you who pick on your own coworkers. And secondly I am a reporter not an intern," I growled in his face before letting go and walking off past Eddie to the break room. As I passed him I saw the shocked look on his face.

Eddie's Pov

Once I heard the thud I turned around to see Y/n on the ground clutching her nose. Oh no we just walked by Nick's office. He was always picking on the interns doing things like this.

Eddie. This guy's bad right? Can we eat him. Look at what he did to the g-

"No one calls me doll. Especially not assholes like you who pick on your own coworkers." Y/n had pushed Nick against the wall pinning him down. I couldn't help but stare in shock. She was stronger than she seemed. In the process of me getting lost on my thoughts, she had ran off leaving Nick a stuttering mess.

"I-I just saw my life flash before my eyes...this bitch is going to be fired the second I go to Jack," he said frowning. I looked at him and glared.

"Try it. Then I'll dig into the security video feed and get you fired," he gulped looking at me as I walked off trying to find Y/n. Luckily for me, and unfortunately for Y/n, there were little drops of blood on the floor leading to the break room. I could hear her from the inside of the room.

"Good job Y/n! You let your emotions get the best of you and are probably going to get fired from your job on your first day," she said. I walked in and she was standing over the sink letting the blood drip down. Her flannel shirt was on the table leaving her in a black long sleeve shirt.

"Good job handling that with Nick. It's good to finally see someone teach that asshole a lesson," I said with a chuckled. She jumped slightly and turned to look at me. Her face was flushed from what I could assume was embarrassment. Her nose looked like it was about to drip again, so I grabbed some tissues from the table and walked over holding them up to her nose. She moved her hand up to grab the tissue.

Eddie.

"Yeah?"

Your hand is still on the girls face. And you just responded to me out loud.

I moved away my face flushing red.

"Shit. I'm sorry but your nose was about to drip down and I didn't want your shirt to get messed up so I-"

"It's okay Eddie. Thanks for the tissues," she said smiling at me. She moved the tissue away from her nose and looked in the mirror. "Well I think it's stopping. And it's not broken so I should be okay." I smiled and grabbed my phone. "What are you doing?"

"Giving that asshole a taste of his own medicine," I said I texted Rich. 'Check the footage from about fifteen minutes ago in the main hall and in Nick's office. He hit Y/n with his door on purpose. Send the video to Jack so we can finally get this ass fired.' He replied with a thumbs up. "How about we take our lunch break?" I suggested. She nodded smiling before looking at her flannel shirt.

"I need to get this off my shirt...do you mind if we go to my apartment really quick?" She asked as she tied the shirt around her waist.

"Sure thing. As long as you help me work on some questions for our interview with Nick Kroll," I said with a smile. Her jaw dropped.

"We're interviewing the Nick Kroll?!" I nodded and the excitement on her face was...

"Amazing.."

"It's more than amazing! It's exhilarating!" She said looking at me with a huge smile on her face.

You spoke out loud again Eddie.

"Well lets get going then," I said slightly embarrassed. She nodded walking out of the break room in front of me.

"Nicolas! In my office now!" We heard Jack shout. I smiled at her as she looked at me with a questioning glance. I shrugged as we walked over to the elevator.

"So what was it like...seeing all of that stuff at Life in person..." she asked me as we waited.

"It was...well horrifying. I knew one of the people in there. A homeless woman who lived outside my apartment. She didn't do anything wrong but there she was...being used as an experiment."

Y/n's Pov

He was looking at his hand the entire time.

"I just wish I could have done more to help her..." his voice shook.

"You did as much as you could. And avenged her by ending Life Foundation." I smiled putting my hand on his. He looked up at me, and I pulled my hand away blushing. The elevator door opened and we walked out. As we made our way outside, he lead me to what I assumed was our ride. He looked at me with a grin as he said

"So have you ever ridden a motorcycle before?"
