Friends come and go People change Like the changing of the tide Forever moving People Change Just like the seasons They come and go like the wind But the memories No matter how small Or insignificant Will always stay with us And deep down No matter how hard we try to forget We know... They'll always be there And blocking them out Blocking them out Only leads to remembering, pain and sorrow Am I really alone? No one understands... A cry for help is nothing but a cry A broken soul trying to find a path And forever questioning if I was wrong... Life's a beautiful lie Anger and rage eating at me Eating at my soul Yet all I feel is pain Sadness Do you take pleasure in my sorrow All you do is hurt me It's hard to let go... But I guess you never did understand me Many mistake me for a lost cause A coward A person who does not speak until spoken to A person who hides behind words A person long forgotten This isn't for pity... It's not some pity party This is for redemption I don't care what you think Just know that there's more to it than just the exterior... We've only scratched the surface And if you reading this you know who you are I'm tired I'm tired of hiding behind words That you obviously don't care for So it's time To start a new slate To let go...
