I wish upon a star
for something new
A better life
A new point of view
Although my dreams
are clouded I know they're
still there
I won't watch them fade away
into thin air
The northern star
will always be my guide
I see Orion's belt
from where I reside
I wish upon a star
for something new
A better life
A new point of view
The constellations
they all align
I watch them all
as they pass me by
They drift away without a sign
I wish I could be up there
All the time
But I
I'm stuck here in Wonderland
I'm living life without a plan
I can't say just who I am
but I still want a better life
Starstruck to this day
You make reality fade away
As the sands of time move
I'm left uncertain
I can't say if I'm learning

PoetryI lose myself in my words and I lose myself. You'll find pieces of my thoughts here, like shattered crystal. Poems are stories from the heart I suppose but these are hardly poems. They are more things I never said.
