There was a woman I knew about
Her body was broken
But her mind thrived
She was broken down
You'd think she'd lose her soul
In the mess of her life
Her mind was strong
And although they broke her body
Her mind stayed alive
She got up like a phoenix raising from the ashes
She thrived and nurtured herself
Healing slowly
Those that broke her down
They broke her body
But her spirit, it persevered
