I couldn't sleep

I couldn't sleep.

I tossed and turned, not closing my eyes.

Not for a second.

There was something about that woman that was ... off.

Her eyes were an explosion of shades of green.

It was something rare; something I've never seen before.

They looked like emeralds, rare and beautiful.

But the way they would look upon you would make it seem like they are eyes of a predator, lethal and ready to strike at any given moment.

Her eyes glowed with such intensity, that it almost seemed ... inhumane.

Somehow, the soft light radiating from the eyes was familiar.

She had golden hair that could shine without the sun.

High cheekbones, long eyelashes, flawless skin, amazing body.

She looked like she came out of a magazine.

As if she walked out and the world was her runaway.

She was beautiful, that's true, but the way she stared at me...

I felt the shivers run down my back.

I don't know what was her reason for that, but there can't be any good reason without sounding psychotic from the actions she did.

I sighed as I realized that sleep wouldn't be coming any time soon.

I sat up from my bed and rubbed my eyes.

I blinked a few times before standing up to grab my phone from my desk.

I spend the rest of the night being on Pinterest.

~

I opened my eyes.

I was greeted with the sunlight seeping from the windows.

My phone, in my hand, was about to fall on the ground from my weak grasp.

I tightened my hand around it and checked the time.

11:06 am

I sighed happily and laid back down on my comfy bed.

It was 11:06–

My eyes widened.

You don't have a day off today, Aria!

"Crap."

I stood up in a flash and started getting ready as fast as I could.

Crap, crap, crap.

I was so late.

In a rush, I brushed my teeth, dressed up, brushed my hair and ran through the door, while yelling goodbye to my father.

The Flash would be jealous by how fast I'm getting ready for work.
