Imagine: Being Liam's anchor.

You drove in silence on your way to the Beacon Hills Preserve, glancing at the full moon almost at its peak in the sky. You had been thinking back to the conversation you had with Liam earlier. Scott and Stiles were planning to chain Liam up in the woods. You wanted to go along but Liam told you to stay home, stating that it was too risky for you to be around him at that time. It was an idiotic reason, seeing as you two had been through worse situations together. You tried to assured him you'd be fine but Liam wouldn't budge and he insisted you stay away.
That's why you were headed to the forest by yourself, no one could stop you if they weren't around right? You drove for about thirty minutes before you saw a path with tire tracks trailing off the main road. You turned down the narrow dirt road and it was only minutes later before you pulled into a clearing and parked behind Stiles's Jeep. You hopped out of the car to see Scott and Stiles with a look of confusion. Liam was strapped to a tree with chains all around him and his eyes widened at the sight of you.
"Y/N? I thought I told you not to come here!" Liam said as he began to wince, a sure sign that the full moon was having an effect on him.
"You did, I just didn't listen." You replied with a shrug.
"Well you should have." Stiles muttered with raised eyebrows.
"Go home Y/N! You can't be here." Liam demanded, more anger in his voice than usual.
"No!" You replied stubbornly.
"Liam's right Y/N, it's too dangerous for you to be here." Scott spoke.
"And like I told him, I can handle myself." You stated sternly and they both dropped the subject. Your feet moved, bringing yourself closer to Liam in interest.
"Stay back!" Liam grumbled obviously in discomfort, his eyes blazing gold in the moonlight.
"Liam, it's okay." You spoke as you inched forward a bit more only to stop when you heard a low growl escape Liam.
"Liam?" You questioned softly.
It was then that silence filled the air. Liam's head was down and his chest was heaving with each breath he took. You were afraid to get any closer but you pushed past the fear and stepped forward, knowing that Liam couldn't hurt you even if he wanted to. You hesitantly lifted your hand moving it to rest on Liam's chest, just above the chains that held him back. Liam once again growled and you could feel the power behind it as the action shook the warm surface beneath your hand.
"Y/N, don't get too close." Stiles warned.
You ignored the suggestion and inched your hand upwards. By the time your hand caressed Liam's jaw you noticed his breathing had calmed down. You looked into his eyes and his expression softened, wolfish features vanishing slowly along with his claws and fangs. Liam's glowing gold eyes had faded into their normal sky blue. You breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of Liam completely back to normal. You couldn't stop yourself as you pressed your lips to Liam's in a gentle, fulfilling kiss.
"What happened?" Liam confusedly asked Scott once you pulled away.
"I think you just found your Anchor." Scott replied with a slight smile on his face as he glanced at you. Liam broke into a pleased smile when he looked into your eyes and you blushed furiously, returning the smile.
