Imagine: Convincing Jace, Izzy and Alec to take you on your first mission.

You practically ran towards the front of the Institute the moment you found out the news. Jace, Alec and Isabelle had just been cleared for a mission and were on their way out of the Institute. You didn't know what the mission was but you were very determined to go, no matter the situation. You figured your chances of going would be better with the three of them than anyone else in the Institute. You turned around the corner, barely catching the trio before they made their way out of the building.
"Guys, wait up!" You shouted, causing the three to turn around.
"Y/N, what's wrong." Alec instantly asked.
The first thing you noticed was the seriousness in his voice. You knew it was going to take some serious insisting to convince him to bring you along. Hopefully Izzy or Jace would vouch for you, if not the chances were slim.
"Nothing's wrong." You replied quickly.
"Then why did you stop us?" Jace asked with an expression of confusion.
"Well, I was hoping that, maybe, you guys could take me with you." You spoke in a rush.
"No." Alec stated immediately.
"Why not?" You questioned in defense.
"We're going after some vampires who broke the Accords. And I'm not saying you can't handle yourself but it's going to be dangerous." Jace replied before Alec could.
"Come on, I know I'm not as trained as you guys-" You insisted before you were cut off by Alec.
"Not as trained? Y/N, you started training at thirteen! Max probably knows more than you and he's twelve!" Alec scolded as he turned to walk away before you grabbed his forearm, forcing him to stop.
"But Im a fast learner. And I've been cleared to go on a mission for over six months already. I can't wait any longer!" You continued to argue.
"Alec?" Jace questioned. Of course Alec would have the final word. Now is about the time for you to step up your game.
"Besides I'll be with the three best Shadowhunters in the whole Institute. What could go wrong?" You spoke, trying to use your most compelling voice.
"Let's at least give Y/N a chance." Izzy said with a glance towards her older brother. It was silent for a moment and you almost thought you lost before Alec spoke.
"Fine. But Izzy, since you're so set on this, you have to take Y/N to get some weapons. We'll be waiting out front." Alec spoke with a stern voice, not even waiting for a reply before him and Jace exited the building.
"Come on, we don't want to keep him waiting." Isabelle stated with a laugh.
"Thanks, if it weren't for you Izzy, I probably wouldn't even be going." You sighed in relief.
"No problem. Us girls have to stick together." Izzy replied with a wink.
