The girl I was supposed to be

From the innocent smiles to the evil laughter.

From the fake tears to the real ache.

From "I'll rule the world", to the lost girl who can't find her way back.

From "I'll make my parents proud", to "I don't want them to know how I've let them down".

I've seen the innocence fade away.

I've seen the sparkle in my eyes leave slowly.

But there are times I see her in the mirror, sometimes smiling, sometimes crying,
the girl I was once and the girl I was supposed to be.

But I'll find a new way, I'll go miles for her
I'll bring back the smile, I'll give her the World.

I'll bring back that light, I'll take her to the stars and show her the galaxies.

I'll be her superwoman, I'll help her fly and touch the skies.

She won't ever say that sky's the limit, coz' I'll take her to the moon and beyond.

She won't just be a warrior, she'll be the queen she always was.

I'll give her everything,
coz' I owe to the girl I was once and the girl I was supposed to be.
