As they walked through the town together, Hugo couldn't help but look around at everything, smiling at the fact that he got to see France the way his parents knew it. He never expected for his mother to be the one who would show him France how she knew it to be growing up.

"Hey Hugo, so where are you getting your sister from? Which school?" Marinette asked him, gaining his attention for a bit. When she realized he wasn't paying attention, she couldn't help but chuckle a bit. After all, Hugo was looking around as if this was his first time here. "Can I ask you where you're from, Hugo? I mean, Paris is beautiful but it seems to me as if this is your first time here."

Hugo shook his head no. "This isn't my first time here. It's just that I haven't been here in a long time. My parents got a job at the states when I was about six years old. Its just that everything seems different from what I remember." Hugo knew lying was bad, but he couldn't help it. He couldn't give up his mission just yet. After all, they knew Marinette was Ladybug and Adrian was Cat Noir, but they can't just tell them, right? There is still Hawkmoth to worry about, and not to mention, Volpina.

Marinette couldn't help but feel like he was lying to her, even if what he is saying is possibly true. Maybe she just felt a little disappointed that he was trying to hide things from her. Given, she shouldn't know that he and his sister are homeless. Still, she couldn't help but want to help somehow.

"Hey, Marinette? Can I ask you something?" Hugo asked as he continued to look down. "I, um... I'm in a little bit of trouble, something that Ladybug and Cat Noir can't help me with..."

Marinette couldn't help but stare at the boy as he began to lose his confidence. "I could try to help if you tell me what's wrong."

Hugo seemed to think about it for a minute, debating whether it was a good idea to tell her or not. Meeting her eyes now, Hugo opened his mouth to speak.

"Hey there, Marinette." A voice called out, making the two turn around. A tall, thin boy with black hair and blue tips was standing there, a smile on his face as he glanced between both of them. "Sorry, hope I'm not interrupting you two."

Marinette met Luka's eyes with a smile as she glanced over at Hugo's uncomfortable face. "Hi Luka, this is my new friend, Hugo. He's new in town and uh, I... I've been showing him around." Hugo could see a light blush on Marinette's face, wondering which friend Luka was. His mother never mentioned Luka to them before, or maybe he just didn't pay attention.

"Hugo? It's nice to meet you," Luka held out his hand to him, letting the boy shake it. Hugo couldn't help but look the boy over, noticing his cool hair. Hugo couldn't help but think that it was pretty cool that his parents would let him dye his hair that way. He couldn't do something like that for his own hair but with modeling as a career, there wasn't much he could do. His grandfather would get upset. "Where are you from, Hugo?"

"I came from the states. My sister and I just came back with our parents for work," Hugo ignored the look that Marinette was giving him, knowing it was because she didn't know the full story behind them. He knew she was curious, after all, she had seen them out on the streets. "You have really cool hair. I wish I could do something like that but my parents would never let me."

Luka smiled at him before giving him a shrug. "I get it. Some parents just want the best for you, but they still let you express yourself in other ways. My mom didn't mind me dying my hair like this since our place has no real rules."

Marinette nodded before saying, "Luka is also really great with playing the guitar. His mom is really great when she let us use their boat for our concert during the music festival." Without even realizing it, she had gotten a little too close to Luka, her hand brushing against his accidentally. "Oh, sorry. I didn't realize. I, um, did... You. Close."
