Hidden behind the oak and honeysuckle
I watch as you water and prune your beautiful garden
Your feet gliding softly through the grass
Whispering truths of enlightenment and delight
You pass me without knowing I am here
Seeking only the simplest of pleasures
You care tenderly for the plants under your charge
And I am jealous
The warmth given by the rays of sunlight radiate here
Shine soft sunlight upon my shadow wearied brow
My heart plays catch with the sprinklings of light through the leaves
Dancing upon the grounds in this ethereal place of yours
And drenches my deepest grown roots with your unconditional love
As I crave your attention and approval silently
Here in my hiding place among the leaves
