Jesus didn't lift my soul
Above the worldly fray
He didn't save my sanity
My bills he wouldn't pay
Jesus didn't fix my car
The day that I got fired
I was late again to work
Because of that flat tire
Jesus didn't protect me
From the rotten thieves
Who robbed me of my wallet
And kicked out my front teeth
Jesus didn't stop the men
Who raped my best friend's wife
They had their way with her all night
And took away her life
Jesus didn't save
The girl of six from cancer
She was sweet and pure and beautiful
Wanted to be a dancer
Jesus didn't save the world
There's no such entity
Can you do what's right from wrong
Without biblical prophecy
If God wrote man a letter
In colored fire across the sky
In a language easily read
By the illiterate and literate alike
The meaning would be clear
Not needing preacher nor priest
To interpret the words up in the sky
How not to act like beasts
Jesus never existed
Not the way you've all been told
It's war and spoils they dream about
It's a lie you're being sold
I'm certain you'll reject this
Your training was complete
Religion will destroy mankind
From that old book...pretty neat
