I want to look in their eyes so I can see
The soul of the people doing this to you and me
Do they still have any traces of humanity
Or have they sold themselves out for want of money
It occurs to me that every day
Someone in congress is getting his way
Voting in new laws to control the sway
Of money flowing towards their pay
The multinational men in suit and tie
World bankers who cheat steal and lie
Politicos who vote with an eye
On what type of cut they get from the pie
World health, world bank, world order looks real
Wait 'til you're starving to death then feel
The jack-boot in your groin toed with steel
A cog off the gear - grind him under the wheel!
The plan has been set with deadly good aim
War and money and food is the game
The people will have no one to blame
Save for themselves - oh my! The shame!
I keep looking for someone who dares
Call out the truth from the top of the stairs
Tell us the truth and prove that he cares
For the people's rights that once were theirs
I keep on looking but rarely I find
The kind of people that want in their mind
Freedom and liberty not left behind
Tolerance patience and kindness sublime
So please let me look into their eyes
When they do get cut back to size
Finally come to realize
It's liberty's death they idolize
Why o why I wonder aloud
How can a person feel so proud
To commit themselves to be unbowed
And write into law our freedoms plowed?
