Lisa's POV

I was busy reading the report for the expansion of the Manoban Hotel in Thailand when my secretary knocked and entered my office. I was so busy doing my work that I didn't find a time to look up at my secretary.

"Yes?" I ask.

"Ma'am, Mrs. Manoban is in line four. She was persistent to talk to you."

I heave a deep sigh and then I grab the cord of the telephone.

"Thanks, Momo. You may now leave." I told Momo and she starts to walk toward the door.

I waited for her to go out of my office before I answered the call.

"Good morning, mom." I greeted in a lively voice.

"Good morning to you too, My Daughter." I could imagine my mom smiling while she is talking to me. "Anyway, I called cause I want to know when are you coming home to Seoul for Christmas and New Year?"

I heave a deep sigh. "Mom, I'm busy. I can't come home. I have a lot of things to do here in the office."

Ever since my father retired, I am the one who takes care of all of our businesses. On the age of twenty-three, The responsibility in managing our businesses rests on my shoulder at a very young age. My sister, Jisoo. Doesn't even want to help me in managing our businesses. Anyway, My sister is in a honeymoon with her wife, Chaeyoung at Europe.

"Baby, What are you even thinking? It's holidays. Can't you take a day off?" I can say that there is a hint of sadness in my mom's voice. "Please baby, Our relatives from abroad will arrive and we will have a reunion because after ten years our family is complete once again. Even your Aunt Sandara will come home so that we could spend Christmas and New Year together."

I rolled my eyes. "Mom, Aunt Sandara will come home because her husband just died and she needs to distract her self. It has nothing to do with me."

"Baby, Don't say that." My mother scold me. "Your Aunt Sandara is not like that. We already talked about coming home and she said that they will come home on December 23. They will stay at our house."

My face starts to rumple. "They?"

"Yes, Her Daughter is coming with her."

"Oh, Okay." I answered.

"So, When are you coming home?"

I start to massage my temples. I have my own reasons why I don't want to go home for Christmas and New Year. It's because me and my girlfriend, Tzuyu, are planning to go to Paris for Christmas and Italy for New Year. I promise that I would go with her and I don't break a promise, but it's my family in exchange.

"Baby, Do you have any plans for Christmas?" Mom asked on the other line since I didn't answer her question.

I heave a deep sigh again. "Mom, I have plans with Tzuyu." I don't want to lie to my own mother. "I promised her that I'm coming with her to Paris this Christmas and in Italy for New Year."

Silence surrounds the other line for a few seconds but my mom started to speak, there is no emotion in her voice. "Okay, Have a happy holidays." After she said those word she hang up.

My head starts aching. It seems like my mother is disappointed at me because I won't come to our reunion. I also want to come but I already promised Tzuyu that i would go to Paris and Italy with her.
